You pathetic bunch.

You realise if Chelsea go out to Benfica, and ENglish teams have another poor season in Europe, you 'top 4' holy grail could well become a 'top 3'.

Just a thought...

Didn't we play a Europa cup game on the Thursday and then have to play Chelsea Saturday lunchtime a couple of seasons back?

Don't do them any favours says I. All they're trying to do is limit the number the lose to Barca by

Bubbles.......................Behave!!

Busbybabe................................Coming from a supporter of the club that disrespected the FA Cup by not playing in it one year, I think that is poor indeed.

Are you telling me that Fergie would agree to moving the tie to a Friday if it helped out a rival club. Yeah right........................and next you'll be telling me Murphy dived last night!

Busbybabe............................................I am old school and for all the excitement it creates I would still like to see the CL back to its original state, a knockout competition. Its current form is only money driven.

Who I support has nothing to do with this debate. The fact is, I support all English clubs in Europe, as it's good for English football and the PL.

This used to be as standard, you lot just sound bitter. Chelsea didn't make up your fixture list 2 years ago so what's giong against such a proposal going to do for you lot? Other than make my previous post more likely to happen?

I agree on the European Cup though, much better as knock out from the beginning. However this would lead to the bigger clubs potentially going out before the latter stages, meaning less money being made

Would certainly make the cup more prestigious, harder to win and also add a lot of excitement.

Busbybabe...............................................One of the reasons that we could lose the 4th CL spot is not Chelsea not beating Benfica, its the poor showing of the Manchester clubs in this years competition!!

There is nothing bitter here, why should our fans (or Bolton's) be messed around and inconvenienced just to help Chelsea?

Busbybabes...........................Glad to see we agree on one thing anyway.

Do you really think clubs have a choice when it comes to Sky? The whole league sold it's soul to that devil long ago and now Murdoch just has to click his figures. If Sky want it, the clubs don't have the choice otherwise they'll get reduced coverage, reduced money and not be able build a challenging team (unless of course you find a friendly oil sheikh).

BusbyBabes, on the flip side, if Chelsea win the Champions League then Spurs would not qualify for it if they finished 4th so I can see why they would not want to aid them.
