Ronaldo is better then Messi

He's got a point

Messi plays in a team that's built around him, has never proven himself outside of Barcelona and will probably never will. He's just a modern day Pele, will get high accolades but never went out of his comfort zone

It annoys me when people say Ronaldo is better than Messi because there is more to his game.

On that basis, could Adebayor be better than Messi because he is stronger, better in the air and better at holding the ball up?

Ya mates wrong and your superior...end of chat.

Anyone who thinks Ronaldo is in any way better than Messi is re tarded. I'm sorry but it's true.

No, but ronaldo is

So Messi is not as good as Ronaldo because he has only proven himself at one club?

That's a bit mean kamran.

Ronaldo is better an anyone that thinks otherwise has a extra chromosome.

Some good points there well argued.

I don't really know why anyone compares them as they are completely different players. Both are phenomenal and both will go down as greats.

Benny
would Messi get 60 goals if he played in this country when he has to go to places like Stoke Rugby the Leg Breakers or Sunderland or Bolton on a cold wet and windy winter nights,im dont think he would.

That's the only argument they got. All of them, repeat that like mindless fools.

"But, but...but...has Messi played in any other leagues, or outside Barcelona? Look at him for Argentina..... (conveniently forgetting Ronaldo's dross for Portugal)"

Idiots

This debate was a bit relevant a few years ago. Even then it brought cringes from the learned fans.

I think the argument that C. Ronaldo is a more complete player is flawed, and is based almost exclusively on his goalscoring game. If you look at each player's overall ability across the full range of attacking skills, I believe Messi comes out on top comfortably because of his ability to function as a playmaker and provide a threat in central attacking positions.

Besides, more complete does not equate to better. Even if you subscribe to the belief that Ronaldo is a more complete player, Messi scores more, creates more, wins more matches for his team, performs better in crunch matches, and in the process delivers more trophies for his team. If that doesn't make him better then I don't know what does.

Scott Parker is better than Paul Scholes.

Parker has been good for more than one club.

Scholes has good players around him, that's why he is good.

Discuss.

Oh please.

If Messi can do it against Madrid, do you think he would struggle against Stoke?

Well said renoog.

I'm not a fan of stats. And when I usually judge a player, I judge them by their actual talent, and capability on the ball.

Even Heskey could get 20+ goals in the Barcelona team
