Whereas you are automatic favourites for the Europa League.
Nah, Braga will teach them a lesson once again.
Can't believe a Scouser actually showed up
Yes, well done Metro, you won the Carling Cup, in the process confirming you are just a rich version of Birmingham City. Shame there aren't enough games left in the league for you to follow them down to the Championship. Now that's a league you could finish top of
When your players walk off the pitch next season after another CL exit, i'llremind you that this was your reward
This thread is an attempt by a poster to cover the cracks of another season without a trophy
People don't know if this has been posted already today but if Sunderland, Fulham and Stoke win today. Liverpool are in 11th That's just embarrassing!!
That's a god awful thought - at least we can end up with trophies when we enter competitions.
---
You've won a Carling Cup against Championship opposition and are 8th in the league. What a bunch of failures.
Sorry, but the salient point here is that your fundamental objective was to get 4th. You are 8th. Sadly for you, a Carling Cup does not compensate for that.
You are a poor team.
Id defo say finishing in cl places is a better result then the cc but if we manage to win the fa cup too (big if) then with 2 domestic trophies out of 3 it can hardly be classed as a bad season.
I'd love lfc to be in top 4 but the reality is we are not one of the 4 best teams in the league. We need patience and the squad needs time and additions. The modern fan wants it all now but that's not going to happen.
Anyone who would class a domestic cup double as a bad season (unless you were relegated) is doing it out of spite or dislike of another club.
Metro, Face it, Your club is a joke
Your fans are deluded like yourself
Your manager is a total tool
And you spent over 100 million to win a Mickey Mouse cup
Last year on the old 606, Liverpool fan's were shouting about how if Arsenal win the Carling Cup its nothing to be proud of because its a Mickey Mouse Cup.
Oh the irony
Go mind the gap between you and Swansea
You hate the fact that you've had another season without any reward.
There is no question about the fact that Arsenal had a season to forget about and I am honestly glad when its over. But this was a difficult year for us if you consider all circumstances with players come in and out and our injuries problems which spoilt our season once again. But if we could reach a CL League place which isnt sure for now I am honestly a happy Arsenal fan and wouldnt change with Liverpool's CC cup.
you won the Carling Cup
...
The same competition you lost to Birmingham in the final. You're fans were sobbing
But hey, its now worthless
Nice shifting of the goal posts
I always get the better of you lot, but I owe that to my club for winning more than Arsenal
Nice one LAL

No, it is showing that we have put Liverpool fans in their place after how arrogant you were at the start of the season.
Now you can see for yourself that we are so much better than you it's not even close. We are so much better than you, it's an insult to mention Liverpool in the same breath as us.
Liverpool - The great pretenders.
Enjoy getting relegated next season.
I always get the better of you lot

Right, back shortly
When I get back, you better hope Arsenal have lifted a trophy as all your comments will have been worthless - just like this season for the Arsenal

Mam city away we won, stoke away we won, Chelsea away we won, 3 away ties to tough pl opposition and we won all 3, yes Cardiff are a championship team but you have to get to a final first and our run was hardly easy, give credit where it's due.

I refuse to believe you are a Liverpool fan - you seem to be quite level headed and you take a pragmatic approach on things - I thought Liverpool fans were not allowed that.

Sorry, I was just replying back to Metro's jibes, don't take anything I say that seriously. Although it goes without saying that even though you've won a trophy, you haven't had a great season. That isn't me wumming, that is the reality.
now comes the bit where he claims victory
I'm a life long red and of course I'm down about our league form but you have be realistic and accept were not good enough to play in cl at the moment, if we did by some miracle qualify for the cl and ended up playing our current midfield we would get ko in the group stages, its harsh but true

Hahaha superb collection of hopeful posts! From me included.
I'm sure spending any inordinate amount of time on something will yield results... must have been a boredom infested bank holiday for some.
Anyway, yes, hopes and predictions that were alas not to be.
Like many others this season.
Still won't deter us from hoping for better results again, nor should it.
Hope = support = teams
If we all went and supported Barcelona where would we be?
