Anyone see the Emenalo interview?
Got it here if you want a look

I do think the dude has taken a bit of a harsh reputation, yes he didn't have a good time as assistant manager but he had provided a good few years of service beforehand and shouldn't just be judged on last year when the whole club was in turmoil.

Witsel is a very good player. Expect him to move on for a big fee within a couple of years.

Emenalo seemed a pretty good opposition scout, the problem was that he came across a bit like Avram Grant. Sucking up to Roman and fast tracking his way up the ladder. The fact that he replaced a fans favourite in Wilkins didn't help him.

I've nothing against the guy, I'd just have preferred a more experienced DoF with experience of signing great unknown players.

That is good news on Kakuta if true. (I;m guessing he means centrally as an attacking mid) because He is naturally a central playmaker. a 'number 10' type player.

he is small and technical, neat and tidy. I've not saw all that much special from him but he has the technique that I can imagine him slitting in at a higher level.

Sometimes the players you don;t notice as much at youth level are the ones who progress into first team football

He is more attacking but not in a sensational way (this makes sense in my head) he plays lots of little give and go passes and tries to build up a move. I suppose kind of in the Modric mold in that sense. not a goal scorer.

I've seen him play wide a few times but he looks more comfortable as part of the midfield 3.

I like Clifford and kalas. You can probably add Chalobah to that list. the reason he hasn;t been involved is because he was at the U17 world cup

KDL I think the other Clifford and Adam Philip will get a look in as well, both are turning this year, and should really be getting into the squad now

I've a feeling Connor clifford will be loaned out and I'm unsure about Philip. He may push on this season tho

whether we 'directly' replace Essien or not I still feel we need to midfielders in. unless they feel one of the youngsters can step?

I don't see how they believe they can accurately predict essiens return. Remember Lampard?

Kakuta and Van AnholtI knew Van Anholt wasn't absolutely terrible. We wouldn't have given him an extension if he wasn't impressing. I like that he is continuing to impress.
