Most did however think Bats deserved more minutes as an impact sub when we needed a goal. In games where we had the opposition pinned back with lots of deliveries into the box, that's when a poacher thrives. The Atleti game at home springs to mind.

It’s good he’s being honest. He didn’t get the players he wanted. The Giroud signing tells me that the club are ready to back him now.

He is not negative Gaza, the offensive players are not good enough. Moses is nothing but positive yesterday agst United but he has no end product. We have too many average players that is the main issue

I struggling to reconcile tactically naive with a manager that had won 4 titles on a row, 3 of them in perhaps the most tactical league in world football. Having said that, I think his use of subs yesterday wa rubbish.

1. I was saying that in assuming that he's leaving at the end of the season anyway

2. Even so, if we keep Conte we essentially only challenge for one trophy a season - The League. Which is just dumb

Conte has said he’ll see out his contract. I think his agent recently said the same.

I don’t mind only challenging for the league. Conte may have a bad record in cup competitions but that’ll surely change soon with the amount of finals/semi-finals we’re getting into.

Conte is a league manager first and foremost. And when you only play for the league every year it's stupid to keep a manager who can't adapt or expand into cups. Add in he plays $hit negative boring football, it's just a lose/lose

Be careful what you wish for Oscar. None of us are overly impressed with Conte this season but he's still a top manager and the problems at the club extend further than to just who our coach is. We could end up with a far inferior manager. And the way we're going as a club we probably will.

As Biggish has pointed out we're lacking quality in the player department. Based on the players we have and Morata + Bakayoko looking like duds we're probably about where we should be in the league. Take Hazard, Willian and Kante out of this Chelsea squad and we're not left with a huge amount of truly top class players. Certainly not in attack or midfield anyway.
