On a similar vein...were we thinking at one time of signing Thorgan Hazard...because he was (so say) potentially better than Eden...?
That went quiet

I'm saying Jose thought his stats were the issue...he basically told him so
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I dont get this, maybe you know more about the situation, but what stats are we talking about? KDB played about 150 minutes for chelsea. Less than two games worth overall.

seeeen. Getting pretty bored now, and we have to wait till Monday ffs
I hope I'm not disappointed in the summer as I'm expecting a clear out of all the deadwood in this squad and also those who are not good enough.
Hopefully with the bonus of us getting our business done early in terms of incomings.
Yeah it's been boring without the PL even though I'm not optimistic about Monday's game.
I'm glad we've had this short winter break. It's crazy to expect players to keep going nonstop over a 9 month season with as many games as there are in all comps. This should have been introduced years ago.
Hopefully we'll see some of our very jaded looking players like Tammy and Mount bounce back on their returns and be sharp for the remianinder of the season.
* remainder
It has been boring as fack without footie of course, especially in February when there's not much else going on. But I'm expecting the standard of play to improve as players return re-energised etc.

I disagree with you on this superb I must be honest. Obviously not playing at that level, but with none of the physio or healthcare these pros have to hand, I use to play footy 3/4 times a week and do kickboxing too. And I was very intense as a player and a bit of a freak energy wide...which makes me feel even worse nowadays when i struggle to do a 5k

I honestly wasn't aware we even had him on the books...there was lots of talk, obviously didn't pass muster then
I don't think we can take what happens this season to heart too much because it's a one-off season for us that we won't see again.
Rookie young manager, team filled with young inexperienced players and two completely inactive transfer seasons. It's unheard of for us so we clearly shouldn't have great expectations for this season. I don't anyway and I didn't think we'd get top four before the season started.
At this point I'm really just looking at this summer and this all important summer transfer window that the club absolutely must get right and must be deep in preparation for as we speak. No excuses.
Yeah everyone I think knew to give this season time, what's been dissapointing to me is now seeing how good our younger players can be, we have let ourselves down in certain games.
Some of the losses and dropped points have been shambolic. I was expecting us to be flaky and to struggle against the top teams, but we've actually been pretty good against the better teams and been very poor against the lower teams.
I had us 8th & just missing out on Euromick...which seemed to be not too bad a plan, as long as we could attracct decent new players in summer
How dare Frank up our expectations...

Fair enough but the thing is these players are just human beings and what they have to put into a season energy wise is immense when you factor even trivial stuff like all the travelling these guys have to do. Especially to far flung corners of Europe and back within a day or two.
Looking at Mount and Tammy in recent weeks they both looked wrecked to me. Let's see how they do on their returns, will be interesting to see if the rest has done them good or not.
