I was hopeful train companies would get rid of their silly advance single rule where the ticket is non refundable for a ticket you booked weeks-months in advance and can’t account for any changes in situation (such as a worldwide global pandemic). But nah

If and when the virus takes a grip in Africa, then the numbers are likely to dwarf that of Europe

Well there's some hope it won't be as brutal on the continent since it is so young. Median age is under 20 and 80% of the population is under 35. Soo there's a hope

I hope you are right. My concern however is that plenty of young people will still require emergency beds or ventilation, and if there aren't enough in developed economies, then it will be even worse in developing countries.

That definitely a big concern. At this point I'm not sure if we can do much beyond isolation and hoping for the best

They better be using that time productively
