Just been told that the club will "consider" any offers for Daniel Sturridge that are atleast 8M.

Sturridge £8 mill.
Henderson £20.
We are awful at deals
Remember i said about bugs in changing rooms about a month ago Steve
Can't see it happening to be honest.
If we give him the chances he wants then he'll stay, if he decides he wants to move on then that will probably be the fee that the club want as a minimum.
Got a feeling that, like January, deadline day for us could hold a few surprises, as far away as it is.
Reading a few things now that the De Bruyne deal, hopefully, will go through soon.
Only stumbling block is where he will go on loan. Anderlecht want him but Genk don't want him to go to Anderlecht.
Vitesse are willing to take him on loan but the player isn't keen on the move.
But the papers say that it is a "minor" problem that won't stop the deal.

Like i said, be surprised if it's true. I think even if Hughes is manager that De Visser & Hiddink wouldn't want Sturridge to go.
Wonder if it's worth going for Connor Wickham? Chopa has just signed with Ipswich and rumours are Sunderland have made a 9M bid for him.
Steve I doubt we would because he only signed a new contract in January which runs until 2013. In an interview he said that he likes to play every week (I doubt he would often get on the bench for us most weeks) Unless we loan him out and let him develop at another club I can't see it happening.
Brummie look I made a sensible comment.
Really hope the Sturridge thing isn't true
I wouldn't mind going for Wickham if we miss out on Lukaku. Similar type of striker and also the same age.
Make him proud.
Contracts don't mean that much in todays football. You could sign a contract at the beginning of the season for 3 years, then next season be at a new club.

Decent article there. Going on about why we are taking so long to make signings etc.
Does anyone wonder why season tickets seem so hard to shift this year? Going all the way to 0 loyalty points, it doesn't send out a great message.
I'd love to grab one, but the fact that I'm off to Aus in 3 weeks for a year kind of puts a hole in that plan.
gazza, thing is that I think if we do get a proper out-and-out striker he would have to be aruound Lukaku/Wickham's age, otherwise I doubt they'd be happy being a squad player for the next 3-4 years while Torres hopefully starts scoring
Blueb - Probably because the prices have gone up, think they have on every ticket.
Putting it down to 0 loyalty points brings more people in. For those who couldn't get to any games for what ever reason, this could be great for them, and they'll probably be willing to pay the extra bit.

I can only think of 4 strikers who we could consider for that - Wickham, Lukaku, Zohore or Babacar. They're all similar strikers. But there's no doubting that Lukaku and Wickham have progressed faster as they are regularly in the first team of their clubs, and actually have a decent scoring record to go with. Wickham.s is about 1 in every 3 while Lukaku's is around 1 in every 2
