Gilmour is an interesting case. A lot of people are concerned by the fact he is in and out the team in a struggling Norwich side but I want him to face some adversity. I want him to have challenges and have to toughen up and force his way into the team. I am glad he didn't coast it at a club like Bournemouth in the Championship.
Worst that happens is the loan doesn't work out, and we decide he is not ready and loan him somewhere else next season.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Fair point. However, still dont think were the right team for him.

For Gilmour? You watch your whoare mouth!

It’s nice that Tuchel plays players on form (albeit took a lot for him to acknowledge how crap Alonso is)
Dropping Havertz and Ziyech given how much they cost was a real statement
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Havertz has been so poor
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Think he’s been poor since he got here personally
Early days but has always looked average, reminds me of Oscar

I think Southampton would have been better for him as an examples
Dunno what we do about attackers we hit this long term out of form patch last season with them and it’s started again this season
Pulisic is always injured and even when he’s not he’s not that good, basically Robben without the talent but with the injuries
Ziyech in those first 3 games looked unbelievable but seems to have absolutely nose dived
Havertz is better than the above two but still meh, pops up now and again with a goal or assist (ala Oscar) but isn’t very consistent or creative
Cho again massively inconsistent
Badly crying out for some creativity. Thinking maybe bin Ziyech and buy Antonio, Gray, Townsend or Ziyech. Someone PL proven
Or have Azpi RB but play James RW essentially
Would just be nice to have one real consistent winger or CAM that consistently creates or scores or assists and doesn’t just have the odd good game here and there
Miss Mata and Hazard
Norwich are as tragic as Oscar

Not been on here for three months but taken aback by the discourse on havertz, who I was not a fan of last season.
He has been poor since the last international break but I think he was pretty good in the first part of the season. Was very encouraged by his performances vs Arsenal, Villareal, and Liverpool

I am unsure he would play enough to merit it. I like him facing set backs, facing calls of people saying he is over rated and light weight, and being in a team which loses and has no world class players to support him. He will learn a lot from this, especially if he turns it around alongside the team.
Incidentally, I am led to believe has been good in some games but bypassed in others. Kind of what I expected without someone like Kovacic or Kante as partners
hi NPE
whut did u half 4 dinner?
Lamb Madras with Garlic Naan, Pilau Rice, and an Onion Bhaji, alongside a serving of salad.
How about your good self?
I generally find it harder to dig individuals out when we have been pretty crap since the last international break. Even then we only lost narrowly to two top level teams.
I dont know if im happy with us sacrificing the press for Lukaku now ive seen it in practice
The attack will need to click a lot more before it seems worth losing what won us a CL
Would you swap the ability to win cup competitions against elite teams to flat track bully your way to league titles?

Bit confused by that comment. Wenger stayed about five years too long. That's being generous too. You could make a case for sacking him since about 2008.
Anyway, Arsenal spent a fair bit money in late Wenger era. If he had left with the club still a consistent top four proposition and an elite manager had been given as much money as Wenger was in his last five years then Arsenal would be in a much better place. They sacked Wenger too late when the rot had set in and no one with the vision or competency to fix them would touch them with a barge pole.
-----------------------------------------------------------
They wouldn't have kicked on because of Kroenke & the incompetence of those beneath him. There was an opportunity in the early/mid 10's for them to ease Wenger aside (for a Klopp/Pep, etc...) but would you have really put it past them to go for the cheaper, mediocre, or clever d!ck options in spite of that? I wouldn't.
Arsenal fans wanting Wenger out before 2016-17'ish was like a cancer patient wanting off his meds cos he thought they were making him sick. My point was Wenger giving them that extra couple of years too many at least made them realize there was a bigger problem. If the descent had happened while they were getting top 4 after cutting Wenger, they'd have believed they made a huge mistake
