Daily mail - Roman Abramovich has avoided sanctions on his 430 million superyacht Solaris by two days, having left Spain for Montenegro.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Surely he's going to park them all in Russia?

In all seriousness - when you include the £3bn write off for Chelsea, the collapsing of Evraz, the likely confiscation of his European properties over coming months, and the fact the West is trying to pivot from Russian energy...

It's hard to imagine him having even a quarter of his wealth.

Don't get me wrong, still loaded and hardly a victim, but pretty incredible loss making.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I agree, although apparently a lot of Russian money was already in Gold whch has soared and has in the past weeks moved into unregulated crypto
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They keep saying he's had all his UK assets frozen I can't imagine what he's got in the UK... Does he even still have property here

#Chelsea have discouraged 'politically sensitive' parties from bidding for the club but Saudi Media does not believe it falls into that category. They are an entirely private entity with no direct ties to a particular ruler or government.

Tbf if they’re independent of the government then they shouldn’t be very controversial in theory. Unless people think there’s something inherently wrong with people from Saudi Arabia.

But probably good to avoid relying on oil money in general.

I wonder if Roman’s kids are being kicked out too, or having their funding revoked.

Lads, what’s a good result for Utd vs Spurs later. Probably draw. I’d prefer a Utd win than a Spurs win though.

The reason i left this thread was that I wanted to take a break from the site in general as I was allowing it to take up too much of my time and Oscar being in charge also presented the perfect oppotunity to implement that train of thought.

However, things have not gone to plan and i have allowed myself to get sucked into the anything to do with Chelsea hostilities on the main boards to such an extent that I realised this place really is a haven.

So if allowed, i will come back. although in a more diluted capacity than before

Saudi Media are confident that they can secure a bigger and better agreement for the Blues after Three suspended their deal with #Chelsea.

Should Saudi Media's bid for #Chelsea prove successful, they would also set up academies in the region and use the women's team to change perceptions of how the sport is perceived.

I’d love to buy a house in South Ken one day.
Or Earl’s Court is probably close enough.

Yeah always has been historically. Pubs aren’t great, high street is run down and a bit skummy. The surrounding areas like West Brompton etc are great but Earl’s Court itself has always been a bit run down. My grandfather had a yard right behind the station

I mean it’s not like the angel estate by any means but in terms of a place to go your better off going West Brompton/kensingston etc

Bottlery, Blackbird, Peel and Evans - it's alright for drinks I have found.

Never been to West Brompton though.
