Tbf Poch has done reasonably well against the big teams. Gone toe to toe with the best and has been unlucky in a lot of those games. Also done really well in both domestic competitions.

Put a top striker in Jackson’s position and we’re probably in the top 4 and cup winners (yes that’s how many sitters he’s missed).

But they’re always those wtf moments with him like last game or away at United where you’re thinking wtf’s your game plan.

Will be good to have an attack next season that doesn't just comprise of Cole Palmer and a very green Nico Jackson who should never have had to play as many games as he has in his first season. He should have been a very useful backup striker but for reasons known only to the club they decided to not bother buying a top striker in his prime.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Depends on how we see Nkunku (both fitness wise & where we want to play him) he's looked good when available

A real top striker would be good though

----------------------------------------------------------------------
At this point I don't know how we can see him as anything other than yet another massive injury crock in the squad.

If he proves that this season was just a one off then that would obviously be a huge bonus but going forward I don't see any other alternative than planning for a future where we accept that he isn't going to be a player we can count on to play much.

A problem that we face in far too many other areas of the squad sadly, notably Reece James and Wes Fofana as well.

Why? He’s been awful since he got unbanned

Yeah, what happened to him? He wasn’t even on the bench for Brentford on Saturday - is he injured?

Good, means his price tag will be more affordable. He'd absolutely smash it for us. Form is temporary, class is permanent.

Maybe there's been a bit of a fallout between Toney and the Brentford manager. Everyone knows Toney is leaving at the end of the season anyway, so that may have been a factor.

Not including him in the squad seems a bit harsh though - although they crushed Luton so it didn’t hurt them. But that’s why I wonder if he’s injured too.

I dunno what I'd go for in a striker this summer. All we actually need is Jackson w/goals, so the best solution is Jackson stops being a bottlejob in front of the net & we go after the best freebie striker on the market as backup. Someone like Ben Yedder or Taremi would be fine for that.

Be nice to have that freedom to spend more money in other areas, so if Jackson can grow a pair that'll be great

Totalsport / 90 Min -

Chelsea are open to offers for both Raheem Sterling and Noni Madueke this coming summer.

Chelsea's hierarchy aren't impressed with Madueke's attitude and have been left underwhelmed by his performances. As for Sterling they would like to see his wages off the books.

Chelsea have already drawn up a short list of players to bring in, with Michael Olise, Pedro Neto, Jarrod Bowen and Nico Williams.

Chelsea are believed to favor Jarrod Bowen, but he is under contract until 2030 and would be expected to pay a hefty fee.

Christopher Nkunku is closing in on full fitness again but Levi Colwill, Romeo Lavia, Reece James and Wesley Fofana all remain long-term absentees.

Olise is a good player but I'm surprised we're targeting another injury crock given how many we have already.

Doubt it's true as he's very similar to Palmer and both play the same position.

Need to focus whatever money we have on other areas of the team

I’d say we need:

CB - Silva replacement
LB - Think we may be forced to stick with Cucu and Chilwell
CM - Gallagher replacement
Wide player - Replacement for Sterling
Striker - Competition for Jackson

Maybe a GK as well. Can see us making a move for Ramsdale.

Another £400m needed.

I can understand why we're looking at wide players if we intend to sell both Sterling and Madueke. But honestly, who is going to buy Sterling? He's already said he doesn't want to go, so I think we're stuck with him. I would love Nico Williams on the left and Olise on the right, with Palmer in the middle behind a striker - but that's a bit of a pipe dream as we have no money and why would they want to come to Chelsea anyway.

Yeah Sterling's gunna be a nightmare to shift. That was Tuchel's biggest f*ck up, or the owners as Tuchel might've gotten more out of him depending on your prospective.

He wants to stay in London, so why could try offering him to West Ham I suppose?

He's on silly wages that Saudi will only offer him.

Will be very hard to shift unless he's willing to take a pay cut
