There'll be what...four games left, could just coast to the end with a temp.

At that stage of the season, that'll wind up being Jesus Perez

Probably will be a statement saying Poch will leave at the end of the season. His official leave date will be the least detrimental one to FFP.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Yeah I think this makes the most sense. Probably put his leaving date after June 30th to delay the financial hit.

🚨 Breaking: Buisness as usual at Chelsea today, the club’s view is that there is still plenty to play for this season but pressure is building towards the summer. (@kierangill_DM @MailSport) #CFC

🚨 Roberto De Zerbi could be another option, there is a feeling he would be open to leaving Brighton this summer.

Chelsea have a long term admiration for Ruben Amorim, and could move for him if they sack Mauricio Pochettino.

Exclusive: Arsenal have told Aaron Ramsdale he is free to leave this summer and the London side is likely to demand in excess of £30m. Chelsea appreciate Ramsdale’s qualities and are keeping close tabs on the situation. (via @GraemeBailey)

I can buy that. Logically we're a terrible proposition, but we still look attractive at initial face value. Managers (generally) love coaching & there's so many young players with a high ceiling here. We're a deadly temptation.

What we won't attract is uber ambitious, legacy or brand conscious managers - Conte would laugh us off for example. The type of managers we typically attracted in the Roman era.

There is recognition within the Chelsea board that keeping Mauricio Pochettino, no matter what, would give Chelsea some much needed stability. (@Matt_Law_DT) #CFC

I like the idea of a “partying of ways”. It brings up visions of Pochettino, wearing a birthday hat and blowing one of those unfurling noise-makers, walking out the front gates at Chelsea.

We are a good prospect for some of the younger managers I feel, or those as you said who have already coached young teams.

Amorim would be a good fit, De Zerbi has a relatively younger side at Brighton, there's a food 3/4 who would be a good fit, but whether or not they work out is another question

Chelsea could be set to land one of their top targets, with Atletico goalkeeper Jan Oblak reportedly up for sale.

According to Head Journalist Eduardo Inda speaking to El Chiringuito,

"Atlético had to expand 40 million (euros) in capital and this year it must be there. The economic problem is tremendous.

"Another one that could be put on the market to deposit money is Oblak. David de Gea or Kepa are spoken of as substitutes. We cannot forget that Oblak charges 8 million net per season, which are about 15 or 16 net. If Oblak leaves they are talking about Kepa or David de Gea, but he's had a long time without playing."

Chelsea could use Kepa Arrizabalaga as part of the deal, as he is unlikely to return to his role once his loan is over.

Oblak is finished as a top GK years ago. I remember one season he had similar stats to Kepa at his worst.

Yeah I like Amorim. Very encouraged by the fact people talk about him as a good leader first & a coach/tactician second. Those are my types of managers.

De Zerbi's interesting. That's our Ange appointment, or Sarri 2.0. I don't think it'll work out cos those guys never win Chelsea fans over, but then again the expectations have never been this low. To win me over personally he's gunna need a good backstory, like AVB & Sarri had

The only backstory-ish thing I know about De Zerbi right now is he identified Mudryk's talent. Said he'd consider it a personal failure on his part if he didn't manage to make him a great player.

Wasn't at Shakhtar long enough to do anything about that, this would be his chance to deliver on those words

I thought James, Fofana, Colwill and Nkunku would be back before the season ends? No sign of them.

Ah, is he on a 2 year contract?

I have a feeling they might give him another season given some of the circumstances, mainly injuries.

And like you mentioned with FFP we probably can't afford another sacking.

I am considering not watching us again this season. I may be numb to defeats now but I surely need to think of better things to do with my time.

I'm going to utilise the time I otherwise would have watching us learning pottery and such.
