Said last night we are going to struggle to keep hold of some of our better players despite the long contracts if good offers come in
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah at this rate we'll get another full season with Palmer at the club. Then if Real come in with a sizeable offer he'll be off.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I agree with the thought someone like Palmer could be aspiring to move even as soon as this summer, but I also wonder if he’s somehow in a difficult position..he’s playing so well, with English tax, he probably is worth £100m+. Who pays that? Only Madrid or City really. I suppose his agent could drum up interest with PSG or something. But his huge price mixed with, in all fairness, just his first season as a regular, and his death row contract with us, it could be difficult for him to move.
City must kick themselves for not putting any sort of buy back or even sell on clause, which they normally have done for their other academy sales. Rare W for our recruitment there. Apparently City were fine selling with no clause because we were fine to pay the £40m up front straight.

People are also different. If he wanted to stay at the top level he wouldn't have left City, nobody can tell me that kid doesn't have the self confidence to think he wouldn't have broken through eventually. He might be one of those players who enjoys being a big fish, or like Hazard doesn't really care so long as he's playing football.
He's 22 next month. Not beyond reason to say we'll get another 3-4 years of him, and if we've not sorted ourselves out by then what can we say?
❗️ Mauricio Pochettino has questioned the clubs strategy, saying the club needs to come up with a smarter strategy and inconsistency is inevitable with such a young team. The result increases the scrutiny on Pochettino, who will hold talks with Chelsea officials at the end of the season amid uncertainty over his future at the club. (@NizaarKinsella)
❗️ Pochettino said that “he took a risk” joining Chelsea, and now the club need to assess the plan and be clever. (@NizaarKinsella) #CFC
Kane spent like 8 seasons plodding along at spurs before moving
Sounds like Poch wants the sack from those quotes.

Only saving grace as such if we do part ways from the ckubs side it'll be a much smaller pay out than previous ones due to shorter contract
If we lose to Spurs the decision will be out of everyone's hands. That's got the potential to get really toxic if the match doesn't go a certain way & our fanbase doesn't need much to start protesting against the owners.
That game is modern day Chelsea put on trial & the jury's angry
Watch Mourinho innocently turn up in the crowd to watch that game. Troll that he is
Villa will probably thrash us before we play Spurs.

‼️ To date, the chances of staying at #SportingCP are growing, especially in the event of winning the 🇵🇹 Liga, as @sebsousapinto reported.
Villa, Spurs, WH looks like 3 defeat in a row at the moment.
Expecting the team to stumble their way through to the end of the season.

Even if we thrash them it'll make no difference to next Thursday.

At that stage of the season, that'll wind up being Jesus Perez
Probably will be a statement saying Poch will leave at the end of the season. His official leave date will be the least detrimental one to FFP.

Or we beat Villa and lose to Spurs handing them a top 4 finish. 🤦♀️
I thought James, Fofana, Colwill and Nkunku would be back before the season ends? No sign of them.
Briefings out in the mail and telegraph mentioning European qualification again. That seems pretty unlikely so he’s probably gone in the summer.
