Screwed by var AGAIN
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Were we actually screwed?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
YES
2 perfectly legitimate goals ruled out for us and 1 of there goals should have been ruled out for a throw in to us
----------------------------------------------------------------------
To be fair I do think the disallowed goals were offside and a foul. But agree that their first goal seemed a throw in to us, but just too far back in play for VAR to get involved
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If the ball wasn't about 10-15 yards away I would agree. As for there 1st goal if we actually touched the ball before Cucurella scored I would agree but we didn't.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm not sure I agree with the 'if we're not good enough to get the ball back off them then VAR can intervene' argument. They have to draw a time limit. We can complain about VAR but that was the linesman's mistake and I really don't think VAR can intervene given the time that passed

Also Poch sounded quite peeved in the newspaper section of the pre-match presser. So whilst I don't think he will "walk", there could be a mutual agreement of some kind.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Who do you expect us to get instead if he does go?

At least Poch is calling out the VAR inconsistency post-match. A refreshing change from his insipid pressers earlier in the season.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Almost like he feels under pressure finally, after months of drift across the whole club.
I think this is Karma for the EtH affect we have all enjoyed were he's not good enough to improve United but not bad enough to sack and gives us enough laughs throughout the season. A good result against the Spuddlings might save Pooch and gain him 6 more months

I mean, I think De Zerbi is the obvious choice with our Brighton fetish. And, personally, I do rate him, even though Brighton have been worse this season.
Beyond that I think Flick and Michel at Girona look like possibles.
Amorim supposedly wanted transfer control at Pool and he won't get that here either.
Ffs one time I actually want us to lose we draw late

You would hope so - but they seem to be too data orientated, and I am guessing it's the board who told pooch "statistical we should be 4th". And still know nothing about football and are just completely surrounded by yes men who don't have the balls to say: the injuries have been bad and the football is sheite, but we should still be playing better
I'd also be quite happy with Flick tbh. His Germany tenure gives me slight pause, but not too much. That Bayern team of his was special, and also played the high octane football I'd love to see at Chelsea.
