Trying to look at the positives of when De Zerbi is our manager next season. He knows Mudryk from Shaktar and had a good relationship with him, calling him a future Ballon d'Or winner, so Mudryk will likely be a starter every game and we'll hopefully see the very best of Mudryk under De Zerbi.

How many games does Mudryk need ffs. Look at Madueke as an immediate comparison.

I am bored of reactive whining and incessant streams of doom-laden comments, yes.
Poch's sacking tell us nothing new about the owners, most people had observed their incompetence years ago - and we all have doubts over our transfer strategy and directors of football.
The only new variable is we are sacking a manager who we know wasn't good enough, which makes a replacement possibly the only positive variable we might get this coming season.
I think the manager was more than good enough for us for the current level this team is at. Should’ve given him another year and then binned him. Now it feels like a restart to the same project with a different manager. Stability was key. Would’ve been nice to have a quiet season without looking like a clown show. Everyone outside the club is laughing at us.

Yup we've gone from opposition fans making us serious top four contenders next season in these last few weeks back to the laughing stock we've been for the vast majority of time under this ownership.
It would be nice just to not be a laughing stock for a sustained amount of time even if it means not contesting for trophies or top four. And being linked with inexperienced Championship managers certainly isn't helping our case at all.

I think he persistently struggled to control games and we were lucky to finish 6th.
I wouldn't have sacked him because I like to give managers time and think a premium exists for continuity with these players.
But it's really no travesty he's gone and it shouldn't be the main variable dictating your aspirations next season.
I also don't care about whether people are laughing at us, liking us or hating us.
When we were at our most successful we were probably the most disliked club in Europe.
When we were most liked in recent memory was probably that 18 month spell under Lampard, and that was a soft-centred team that was no threat to anyone.

Longest odds I ever saw for De Zerbi in the last few days were 4/1 and I've been checking with both Betfair and Paddy Power every day
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I saw 6 or 7/1 on bet365 a couple of days ago
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ok, he might have momentarily been 5/1 on PP and Betfair but definitely no longer than that and definitely not ever 14/1.
I think the bookies have also suspected that it was always going to be De Zerbi as well as he always stayed in the top two or three at least while all the other manager odds bounced all over the place.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Was literally 14/1 yesterday
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not on either Betfair or Paddy Power it wasn't. I checked it over the course of the day.

Maresca and McKenna are hard to comment on because I barely followed them, but I do think if we are hellbent on this approach with transfers, young players and a head coach I want us to pick the coach to suit that and the owners/DoFs to own the success or failure that comes with it.
