Bild - Chelsea are refusing to budge on their valuation of Ian Maatsen, insisting he will only leave for his £35 million release clause, leaving Dortmund frustrated as they are looking for a deal worth around £25 million.

Cucu was looking good towards the end of the season although whether De Zerbi plays him in that inverted role that he looked so good in remains to be seen.

Chilwell is the one that needs to go, can't be relied on to stay fit and we need him.off the wage bill. I'd get rid this summer.

Cucu and Maatsen as our LB options would be fine.

I don’t want us to be in a situation where we’re financially crippled and forced to sell some of our better players because the people in charge were reckless and stupid. If we can keep our first team players and also get rid of Lukaku that’s ok.

I still don’t understand why Poch didn’t play Maatsen in his actual position once.

All the noise pointing towards De Zerbi now, will be quite happy if that is the case.

Some in the Chelsea technical hierarchy believe Maresca is a better fit, since he would purely be coming in as a head coach. De Zerbi is viewed as a more prickly & abrasive character, which is one reason why Brighton were ultimately willing to let him leave (via @MiguelDelaney)
