I don't think we're getting another goalscorer. We've brought in Marc Guiu and it looks like he'll be backup to Jackson.

Agree, a fit Nkunku can also play as a striker so I don't see us buying anyone.

Broja is still here too, I'm guessing he'll be sold.

Yeah true but until Nkunku proves that he can stay fit for the majority of a season I'm not going to factor him in too much. Same for the likes of Fofana, Lavia, James etc.

Napoli keep looking for solutions for Victor Osimhen as they want to bring in Romelu Lukaku as soon as possible.

Understand Napoli could also be open to discussing Osimhen as part of Lukaku talks with Chelsea.

I don't focus too much on the results in pre season, it's more a case of building up the team's fitness levels and for the coach to start implementing his style/footprint on the team.

It's also good a chance to integrate new signings into the team if we get our business done early. In our case we haven't really signed anyone for the 1st team so this doesn't apply to us.

The Celtic result was bad but they start their season this week so were expected to be ahead of us in terms of preparation. The idea should be to improve every game

I read somewhere he got injured at the back end of last season and he's still recovering from that.

We were originally planning to buy Olise before he opted for BM, but since then I haven’t heard rumours of a right winger coming in - so it looks like Madueke and Palmer to cover that side.

There are lots of rumours of potential left wingers coming - from Nico Williams (who also seemed to have turned us down) to Chiesa now. But surely that would depend on shifting at least one of Sterling and/or Mudryk. And I can’t imagine we’ll be able to do that.

We still need to sell Chalobah, Lukaku, Gallagher, Broja, Sanchez or Petrovic, Kepa, and a bunch others I am forgetting, and nobody seems too excited to buy them. Outside of Jorgensen, who looks like he’s coming, do you think we’ll sign anyone else? For the first team I mean - not counting additional 19 year olds we’re signing for Strasbourg.

I think Chiesa is looking increasingly likely - apparently his agent was in London for talks with us and Spurs. Juve desparate to sell for around £20-25 mil.

I would have been keen a few years ago but I think he's been average since the ACL surgery.

I'm hoping we can strike a deal with Napoli for Osimhen and Lukaku going the other way but I feel wages/price could be a stumbling block

Chiesa is another injury crock. Unless he's being bought to keep Fofana, James, Nkunku and Lavia company in the permanently injured department I'm not entirely sure of the point. Also he looks a lot slower than he used to so not exactly suited to the PL where we already have slow chubby boy Enzo to carry.

Chelsea are considering a move for 2005 born GK Mike Penders.

Talks are ongoing with Genk as reported by Bob Faesen, nothing agreed yet but club considering move for talented GK.

It's gunna happen. It's got a dreadful feeling of inevitability to it for me.

No-one wants to pay Osimhen's wages, not just us, but we're the most desperate + getting Lukaku off permanently gives it a practically that's very tempting.

Until it doesn't happen I'll assume it will at some point before the window closes
