Someone the other day on here said Pedro would be a really good player for enzo

A winger who can create and score goals

Well neto is a close to a Pedro as you can get

posted on 10/8/24

Not really. Doesn’t have the same end product. Even Reece James has scored more career goals then him.

Why didn't we go buy Gyokeres...ridiculous opportunity missed

Wonder if our incompetent medical staff have prepared a room for Neto yet...

I’m kinda shocked we went for a guy who has serious injury troubles, after everything we’ve been through.

Do you think the club believe we’ll be able to manage those issues better, with our world class staff who can’t keep the rest of our players from getting injured.

Or do you think they just didn’t notice his injury history lol. Or maybe they did and think it’s fine to spend big money on players who don’t play that much.

Dunno for Neto. Maybe says something he’s still a sighing to feel most positive about the intentions, and end goal etc. while still being few question marks.

I could cry about it tbh. I know I've been getting quite a lot of stick by some on here for banging on about how we should sign Gyokeres over the last season. But once everyone sees how good this guy is in the PL they'll all be crying about his we didn't sign him.

Looks like Arsenal are getting him for about £70 million which is an absolute bargain in today's football money. I strongly fancy them for the title if they land Gyokeres.

He possibly wanted to join a top club challenging for titles and playing in the CL rather than play for our circus

We must know about him injury record, the owners surely can't be that stupid. So presumably they have massive faith in this new medical team that they've brought in including Craig Roberts and Stephen Lewis.

There is that of course although we could have acted much earlier to sign him. Instead we dithered and paid nearly half of what it would cost sign Gyokeres on Omorodion.

I think we have accept we are no longer an attractive option for the best players.

We don't have any big name players, we don't have a big name manager, the owners lack credibility and we aren't a very good team

I don't think the club's strategy is to even go after these big players.

It's very clear to me that we're signing players U23 for around £30 mil and hoping they become elite players.

I'm surprised we went for Neto tbh, might have been more a request by Maresca rather than someone our owners were looking at.

I think we are still appealing. London, legacy of success, big fan base.

But also think the club have chosen a strategy and whether it is right or not I'd rather they committed fully to it than played hokey cokey with it. So if they think assembling a legion of young potential is the way to go I want them to commit to it and either own its failing or prove me wrong with its success.

Kinda agree with you, but I still think any successful tram needs a minimum of three experienced leaders. We have none now Silva has left.

As Gazza (RIP) used to say, at least it will be a ‘fun’ season

posted on 10/8/24

Imo, for us to be able to mount a credible top four challenge we will need to develop a settled spine or possibly a minimum 3 players that were not negotiable for sale, over? two settled seasons.

How the club develop this aspect will be interesting particularly whilst managing the FFP/ PRS compliance requirements.

Roman did generally have the balance despite all the negativity thrown at the club through-out his tenure.

I don't know about that. It could be a very bad start to the season as these players try and learn Marescoball. Do we even have the right type of players to suit his style?

I think the best emotion I have about Chelsea is curiosity. Other than that I am just not feeling the vibe

🚨 Telegraph EXCLUSIVE: Trevoh Chalobah has been barred from using the first team facilities at Cobham. (@Matt_Law_DT)

Broja as well

posted on 10/8/24

Trev Chalobah has dedicated 17 years of his young life to Chelsea FC.

He’s worked his way into the first team, never let the club down and is highly thought of by match going fans.

His reward?

Banned from even having a shower in the first team facilities.
