Tbf to Poch he got us to a final and a semi final in both domestic cups, eventually losing to City and Pool.

Pooch was sheite, a couple of fortunate cup runs don't change those facts......shall we also remember "the team playing for penalties" and losing in ET to a Liverpool there for the taking, yeh great management

isn't Harrods owned by Qatari's...just saying
I remember when sponsors used to be quite innocent humble UK businesses like Autoglass, Crown Paints, and Dr Martens.
Now it's all just online gambling behemoths, crypto ponzi schemes and dodgy airlines
People really need to let go of poch,
The guy was a nightmare for a very long time, his defeatist attitude, his no style of play tactics where the only pre requisite was to run.
Maresca has done more in the first 3 months with the team than poch did for an entire season
like i said about poch, potter, Lampard they all had no idea how to set up a team on the pitch.
Low and behold someone comes in with a defined style of play and we are scoring goals, our strikers are scoring goals because we play a way that creates them chances consistently.
Mons, whilst we have to move on. I dont think we can judge maresca yet and even then I think poch actually laid a lot of groundwork for him.
We're certainly a better team when he took over then when poch did. He played a part in developing and nurturing jackson, palmer and caicedo improved immensely last few months of last year.
Gusto too was brilliant under poch.
We also didnt have nkunku, enzo, fofana, tosin, lavia, Colwill, Chukwuemeka, Sanchez. Infact we had the most injuries in Europe (and im gjuessing therefore the world) last year.
Currently as I type this only Reece James is missing from our squad.
Comparing apples and oranges imo.
Also argue the defined style of play, we've still been haphazard all season bar probably the city game who let us have it.
Wolves should have been 3 up in first half.
West Ham should have had a pen, hit the woodwork and had a close goal dissallowed.
Bournemouth should have beaten us like 6-1 lol.
Poor against palace second half.
The major factor so far for me seems to be luck.
It's still early days and results will breed confidence.

There's a narrative? I'm confused. Poch did alright, got us 6th after what was a poor first half of the season and got us to a league cup final as mentioned. And he may well have improved on that 6th place this season although we'll never know now as the club decided to part ways with him.
There's no real narrative though that I can see apart from us fans having to accept that fact and move on. The new manager has made a good start so let's all be positive and get behind him as we have little other choice as fans.

I mean arent you kind of showing a narrative here lol.
Poch may not have been great and to your liking but I thought he done well considering what he had to deal with. If not well then average. Certainly not sheite
Mons, whilst we have to move on. I dont think we can judge maresca yet and even then I think poch actually laid a lot of groundwork for him.
---------------------------------------------------------
Contrasting what the job's expectations are (the boards & fans) combined with what the previous manager gave him to work with, the last one who had foundations like this to be comfortable managing for a bit was Lampard inheriting Sarri's work.
And he most certainly has a better base to work from, thanks to Pochettino, than what Pochettino himself had to start from. Jesus Christ
Bournemouth should have beaten us like 6-1 lol
------------------------------------------------------------
This is the only game I've managed to see this season so far. And tbf to Marseca, if he's tasked with installing a bit of entertainment value to us as a club, he's doing it on that game's evidence - better than Poch did.
I haven't seen such an open match like that since the early days of Lampard. We deserved to lose (could argue draw was fair I suppose) but I considered it an evening well spent
