True. I found it very weird that we'd get a Havertz goal alert on here every time he scored a goal for Arsenal last season. Hopefully people have grown out of that this season lol

I like the CL wins as they both represent such a different way of doing things to me. 2012, was proper backs to the wall, drama, and I always think, a whole lot of luck, which contributed to how special it felt. 2021 meanwhile, each match we played we were just..in control, the better team tactically. It’s nice to experience both. It was also nice 2021 has so many academy grads involved.

As has been alluded too slightly before it’s a shame the team fell off and changed so much after the 2021 win. Similar thing happened in 2012 but more acceptable / predicted - we had an old squad, a slight unknown manager and like I said, for me I’m quite accepting of fact we had a lot of luck. In 2021 however we had a young squad, a known quantity of manager and just seemed to have a good foundation to build on.

2012 was the culmination of an era. It's natural the team would disband after that especially as the spine of it were there from the beginning.

2021 was a great (unexpected) start of a new era, a post-Hazard one. The fact it only lasted another 2 years of so makes anything that happened in it feel like a dream to me. Even if all the players were gone but Tuchel was here it would still feel real, cos we can talk about certain players (Mendy, Kante, Werner, Havertz) who played their parts but the starring role was the manager

Thing is would he have got games had we bought him in the summer ? Not even Nkunku can get into our starting 11 this season. Would Duran just likely just be rotting on our bench had he been here ? At least there he's getting game time and scoring goals. Much better for him.

I still don’t get why everyone’s talking about Dhuran so much. Got an excellent marketing team. Come off the bench a few times to score some goals this season, fair enough. Irregardless, he’s never showed himself to be a regular goalscorer as a starter in his whole career yet (I understand he’s still young).

What I mean is..I think many strikers go through a phase similar to what he’s going through now and barely get noticed. He may well go on to be a very good talent, need more sample size..

Playing through this year's Football Manager during time off work, the game thinks we've got a bright future that's for sure. It's got Palmer completely wrong, Jackson's a bit off as well, but it rates most of these young players very highly. Perez is the jewel in the crown on it, his attributes are mad for a 16 y/o.

All the time & resources football clubs put into recruitment, just need one guy to go over FM with a fine tooth comb. Boehly could do it himself
