European officials appear to have something against tall strikers who can head a ball.
----
rules out crouchy then.
he only won about 5 headers in his tottenham career.
lol, but how often when playing for England was Crouch unfairly accused of pushing or whatever when trying to win a header?
I don't see the fuss about Holt, people are just following sheep when choosing him. Graham has scored just 3 less goals than him, but no one chooses him. Neither should be in the squad.
Rooney, Sturridge, Crouch/Carroll and Welbeck.
Best is Irish.
============================
Yeah, right. Best isn't an Irish name. An Irish name would be O'Shea, Best is as English as it gets.
frontline of lennon oxlade and walcott
pure pace
out wide have dyer and walker
paceeeeeeeeeeeeeeyyy
Walker
Dot Cottons pace > Walkers pace
Bent is injured and Zamora ,
Rooney
Crouch
Defoe
carroll
Wellbeck
Rooney - Best striker we have without doubt.
Holt - Gives you the option that Carroll and Crouch do, but he is the one in better form
Defoe - The best poacher we have after Rooney and Bent. If Bent is fit Bent goes instead.
Welbeck - Good link up play with Rooney. Not the best but about the best of the rest. And I wouldn't want 2 'big man' options going.
There's suddenly a Carroll love in again?
Rooney
Welbeck
Sturridge
Crouch
Defoe
Holt is a glorified pub player with zero technical ability. It would be quite frankly stupid to take him.
how about holt and crouch
with heskey and lampard out wide?
slooooooooowwwwwww
be interesting to see if lennon gets back in as he was made a scapegoat of the world cup
Rooney was worse than a pub player and still got picked
Rooney
Welbeck
Holt
Sturridge/Defoe
we will be coming home after two weeks anyway
Holt is a glorified pub player with zero technical ability. It would be quite frankly stupid to take him.

Most people feel that about Carroll.
If you watch Norwich you'd see Holt is a better footballer than Carroll.
It really shows how poor our strikers are when we are considering Zamora, Holt, Carroll and Crouch.

Harsh. Watch his goal against Everton. As technical as any goal scored by any other English striker this season.
No player in the prem is a pub player.. silly comment, problem is in this country we dont have any world calss strikers
The manager is Roy, so the strikers will be
Rooney (as he has said)
Zamora
Crouch
Carlton Cole
Koncheskey will take over from Baines as back up LB

But fair enough, Holt's goal was very good.
Actually here is Holt's goal against Everton:

Not bad for a player with zero technical ability. Would love to see Rooney score a goal like this.

I was trying to show that Holt's goal was not as technical as any goal scored by any other English striker this season.
Not to discredit Holt himself. His goal was very good.
