Lennon certainly set the world cup alight last time he was chosen over Walcott...

there's a reason Lennon got booted out of the England fold and hasn't been seen since.

Young and Downing should be on the wings anyway, especially if Bent is playing up top.

what lennon is capable of...

walcott would fall over trying that

Yeah, downing. He's had a fantastic season...

posted on 10/5/12

id rather have downing than lennon thats for sure

Lennon = Can only run with the ball. His crosses dont go anywhere apart from out of the stadium

Walcott = yes the odd bad cross and the odd miss control but he generally creates and scores a lot of goals and can change a game by himself e.g. Barcelona 2010 at home.

Name a better left footed left winger that's English then.

put a right footed winger on the left then, please god not Downing.

but he has no technique <whistle.

I think downing is the only left footed English winger.

I think that's the only argument there is to include him. He's slightly less poor with his left foot than he is his right

I don't rate Johnson but I'd rather him then Downing. Jarvis has also had a better season. Sturridge can play wing.

walcott plays much more advanced than lennon... arsenal play with two high up winger forwards

lennon literally plays right midfield and has lots of defensive responsibilities

Mike Williamson is a good shout but I think I'm the only one who thinks so! There's a lot of potential in the Championship and if those players prove themselves in the league then why not give them a shot?

Walcott is overrated.

posted on 10/5/12

Even Newcastle fans don't rate Williamson

Either way, Lennon isn't food enough.

For the euros Milner is the best option on the right. Hard working in attack and defence, great engine and top crosser. Tournament football, more important not to lose
