Mick Mccarthy anyone?
Done a decent job at getting teams promoted before, just needs to keep them there !!!
mad mick now he is free from wolves? not for me but knows the championship
Hmmmm maybe although he spent an awful lot of money at sunderland and got them nowhere
"Mick Mccarthy anyone?"
I'd rather have fookin Trigger in charge!!!
Bilic and Wilkins with Hierro doing youth development and Campo half time draw.
Carlsberg don't do BWFC management teams... But if they did...
Di Canio could be great for you, as could Malky Mckay who i feel is very underrated
rowbot tell us all why coyle should stay after taking us down?????

Well. I don't think a manager should automatically be relieved of his duties for getting relegated. Of that was the case, all the players should be too.
I think we have to give him more time. Frankly, this season has been the unluckiest in our recent history. I am more than confident that Coyle can get the team together, re group, challenge for the championship title and build for promotion.
He wants to sign young, exciting prospects, he tries to play attractive football.
I would also suggest that gettibg in another manager who wants to reshape us, taking 2 years and potentially not winning anything during that time will not benefit us.
Like the sound of Di Canio, at least he's not afraid to have a go.
pep now he has left barca
would like to see that ...
Although only for one friendly that meant absolutley nothing .....
It doesn't have to be a ' big name ' manager (good job, as we couldn't attract one!). Just look at Norwich and Swansea - newly promoted and both a big success ...when they appointed their respective managers, most people would have gone " Brendan who...? Paul Who ..? They're not so ' unknown ' now! same can be said of the new promotees ... Nigel whatsisname and Brian ..er ..thingy ... They're relative ' un knowns' who've earned the right to manage in the top tier ....... ther will be lots more Brendans, pauls, Brians and Nigels out there .... we just have to pick one!
Not sure I would actually like Gartside to interview candidates rather than just hand the job t someone
I love these threads...gives me a chance to say

Well........................................................................................
every team gets bad luck and have to play bad fixtures but with coyle he has plan A if it dont work try plan A he was told in january he had money if he wanted it and he said no.
tells me he only had plan A and now must go
Firstof how does one go about finding such a man? Wouldn't you have thought that about Coyle? For me it seems like too much of a lottery and we may end up with someone worse.
I think people are entitled to vent for tonight and for quite a few days to come, and have these discussions. In the cold light of day though, the reality is Coyle has the backing of the owner and the chairman and he will still be manager when the new season starts.
true we may then again we may not
Largehat for the sake of argument what if he walks?
Frosty - I already said above, I would offer it to Lee Clark or Sean Dyche.
Is it worth the risk though? instead of getting someone who you know is capable.
Large Hat
Broke my heart that today still away for a few more weeks, but the blame has to stand with one man, guess who eh.

He simply hasn't had the players to have a plan B. he is not faultless. As it happens, I think he fluffed it up for us in the Wigan game. They were down then. We had gone unbeaten in the previous 3, if memory serves, and he changed a successful, unbeaten 451, to 442 vs Wigan and we got thumped.
That's where it started.
Anyway, he has built now, he has his players, he knows his team. He just needs them to be fit.
