There are no 'quotes' saying they were offered the job. They were responding to speculation.

My point was that it's the media publicising our manager search and not the owners themselves. Yes they have a right to comment on whatever's going on but quite simply they don't even know. The '12 manager shortlist' is speculation as are most of the managers being mentioned. All clubs will consider a good number of candidates but will only approach a couple which is what has happened here

lol, if you wish, he described a 'big club', he's never been linked with Chelsea & the other 2 wouldn't qualify under that criteria - however, if it makes you feel better then the mass media reports suggesting he'd been approached were wrong & it was really Wigan chasing him

All clubs narrow down their search to the man they want & then try & land him. The salient difference here, is that they're wanting to go through a selection process that involves interviewing potential managers - which is just not how it's done - EVER!

This is what TB asked, he has filtered me so can't see my responses. I pointed out Steve Bruce as an example of how clubs 'always' approach another club for permission to speak to their manager which goes against what TB says in his comment. At the moment West Brom have to ask permission from Birmingham to speak to Hughton.

Chelsea reportedly approached Benitez, and Bielsa when AVB was sacked, they didn't go with either so Di Matteo was one of at least 3. TB doesn't know what he's talking about.

It's not so long ago that there was talk of introducing a new ruling were clubs would have to interview potential black managers because of the low numbers of black managers in the game. If there was no 'selection process' just an approach for the one you really wanted, were would this fit?

There was no 'confusion' from De Boer, Swansea City or Wigan, only Klopp could be denied (even though it's patently obvious & he's shortened in the betting btw - what's that about then? )

They've approached a number of targets though, something that is alien to how the process normally works. So the press have stated their opinion on it.

As for Whelan, Martinez is his manager & he has every right to pass comment on what's going on with him.

Come off it, he talks out of his backside, any oppurtunity to phone up sky. He claims one thing then day or two later, comes out its not true.

Some people will believe anything, despite no quotes from the appropiate people from the media. What goes on between Martinez and FSG has nothing to do with Whelan so why would you take the bs he spurts as facts?

The only thing Whelan will be informed about is if hes going to lose Martinez or not, other then that he probably knows very little and should keep his beak out, but no hes always blabbing pony.

Whelan was talking about HIS current manager, the man who was staying in Whelans house in Barbados & was speaking to him on a daily basis, keeping him informed as to what was happening & yet you've decided he was talking BS & should keep his beak out?

Theres numerous people saying numerous stuff which are the total opposite of each other especially in the media, im finding it hard to believe some people still have not clicked on.

The agent, the chairman the director, the player, the team mate, the managers all seem to be asked the same question but all give somewhat different answers.

Ask yourself why once in a while Partly the media's fault but mainly because only the required people know.
