I think Istomin did break Nadal but could not hold on afterwards. Monaco was rubbish and so will be Almagro. He has lost 9 times to Nadal.

Good preview Rotla.

Nadal and Ferrer for me. I do think Ferrer can have a chance versus Nadal. He just needs to comvert 1 of the 20 BPs he will get. Somehow somewhere, he should do it!

Just kidding, I just think Ferrer can certainly stretch Nadal....especially if he wins the first set. Nadal knows that. This is why he will do his best to break Ferrer spirit very early. Remember that cost Nadal the AO11 as Nadal did try to retrieve anything in the first 3 games to stay with Ferrer and even break him. That cost him an injury and lost.

Delpo's injury hampered him to keep that level for another set.

Delpo denied it completely at the presser.

Istomin, Bolleli even, broke Nadal I think.

Tenez, ferrer first needs to beat Murray which is not a foregone conclusion by any means.

Yes but it depends on individual players. Some try to keep that to themselves, not talk about injury as much. And there are others who keep blabbering about injuries even when there doesn't one sign anywhere. Some will try to exaggerate their injury, make a fuss about it. It different for different players.

But Delpo looked stranded from 3rd set on wards. He was running every ball, stretching and hitting corner to corner in the first 2 sets. That all disappeared by the 4th. He did try his bit in the 5th, but that wasn't enough to beat a resurgent Fed.

I woudl not mind Murray beating Ferrer cause we know he is likely to do better, nerve wise, than Ferrer when facing Nadal. But I really can;t see Murray beating this Ferrer. Prepare yourself to the idea of a loss from your man. Sorry.

==========================
Delpo doesn't need to talk about it. He has got Ramses II bandages on his knees. It cannot be any clearer than that.

BTW, it just put in perspective his win v Berdych. He may not have hampered him much but surely he coudl not push on it as well as he had wished.

This is why I think Berdych is not nearly as good as a fit Delpo.

Why is this thread a problem for people? I don;t understand Admin1 comment but fine by me.

Admin, it's like being on the Leeds boards

This thread was incredibly complained about, albeit buy one person. It's lack of removal resulted in what can best be described as complaint spam, which required appropriate moderation activities.

As an aside....
I have little care for the politics and conflict that has propagated from pastures afar. However warning emails about these exiled troublemakers would indicate that the rifts run deep. What isn't lost on me is the fact that people who had great and vocal reservations about those "exiled" posters would be motivated enough to follow such trouble makers onto JA606 and expresses ongoing vocal reservations on the forum from not only one account but even go as far as to create two accounts to lend additional weight to such travesties. When the reality is that creating zero accounts, would perhaps have been the more appropriate course of action.

What's going on? I cannot see anything wrong with this thread. Is it because I filtered some posters? I don;t even see any filtered comments.

I think someone from V2 is trying to create disturbance on here.

Interesting reading Admin1. I understand now.

The childish Rafa fans are at it again, I gather.

Admin1, I've never seen you so serious!

Admin1: Appreciate the view you have taken on this. Creating, as you put it, zero accounts would have seemed easy enough course of action for anyone who is not fond of the "exiled" posters.

Between Admin2 and I, we know the sum total of zero about tennis and follow the sport even less than that. We have no interest in Nadal or Fed so have no bias. Our only care from a moderation perspective is that the people that use the forum ensure that the content posted is on the right side of libel laws and consideration is taken to that effect when posting.

Tenez, wow, rotla etc: do you not get to see the threads at all if you filter someone? A competing MOTD thread was started last night so I suspect it is all related.

That's all we are asking for from Mods.

On V2 Mods thought they knew about the sport and chased the wrong people. That's why JA has taken off relatively quickly.

Early for you SB!

No SB, I do not see the threads created by those filtered. They simply don't show up on my main JA page.

Yes early for me. Unfortunately will not be staying, just popped in for a bit. Taking a day off work on Friday though, planning for a full day of tennis watching, glad Fed will still be around then.

We had no problem with facilitating two threads as people were free to exercise their own right of choice as per their preference.
