"If Messi Was English, He'd Be An Accountant"

What a daft thing to say.

Everyone knows Messi is useless with numbers. I think he'd work at Debenhams.

Are you only saying this because Easyjet FC rejected you?

If Messi was English he would be working in Tesco before he was 17.

No.
I am not a young player.

Just a general observation.

Until that changes, nothing will.

didn't keep up with the news over the weekend then i'm guessing? It is changing, pitch and team size limits for certain age groups etc are all coming in - far too late, but at least we are finally starting to catch on.

messi had to have long term treatement with human growth hormones to get him to the size he is.

Factually, incorrect article. Ex: Defoe.

The amount English hatred/dislike is going up on these Frenchnal boards.

Remember being told by my team manager at the age of 16 to hit the Guinness and by the time I was 18 being told to lay off it.

"messi had to have long term treatement with human growth hormones to get him to the size he is."

Not exactly. He would've reached the same size that he is now eventually without the hormones, it would've just taken longer. The hormones were just to make his growth rate the same as everyone else's.

One of my boys played in an under 7's team last year, all the manager cared about was winning.

Not developing the kids at all.

And this was a youth team for our local non league team who you would have thought would have an interest in developing players in the long term.

Dubbed

How did you get this multiboarded without asking the admins?

Dubbed did ask. I now only have a base understanding of what is a good or bad article. I blame Peterbaey for lowering the bar so much.

Admin, why are you partial to piles of piffle like this being multiboarded?

Exactly.

Idiots like that are putting kids off football. Ruining the sport for them.
At that age you have to enjoy football, to improve.

Article has a lot of truth!

I thought this article was OK, unless I have missed something?

I certainly know players who have been dropped for not meeting weight and height restrictions at youth level.

Again, why does rubbish like this get multi boarded?

posted on 6/6/12

I think it's a decent enough topic

The coaches are completely inept and out of touch with football.
Most of them have absolutely no clue what they're talking about.

------------------------

Clearly you don't either, making the assumption most coaches in England don't know what they are talking about
