Hodgson to blame. End of.

Total Financial Meltdown of Liverpool Football Club had absolutely nothing to do with it.

total nonesense

- Masch wanted to leave in Rafa's last season but was denied so left the following season.
- Torres leaving had nothing to do with Roy. He new the club was going nowhere so left.
- Alonso left the season before after he fell out with Rafa
- Carra aged
- Gerrard aged and became injury prone

Roy took over as manager and had to sell before he could buy. The demise started before Roy took over.

The purchase's of Joe Cole, Poulsen and Konchesky didn't help either.

Roy Hodgson inherited a club that was, from top to bottom, with some exceptIon, in tatters. We were days away, thanks to Butch and Sundance, from administration. We had some fantastic players, but at the time of him coming to Liverpool, they were in the minority. On reflection, while I fully agree that he wasn't the manager for Liverpool, it wasn't all his fault. There was no money on the table, we hadn't invested in new talent, Torres excepted, for yonks. If Total Financial Meltdown had absolutely nothing to do with it, I think Ian Ayres might disagree with that comment, I am a Dutchman after all, honest. jimmyTheRed

And if we were so good, why did Masch and Torres want out? JTR

People like Aggrrs and co should read up on what actually happened under H and G and then realise just how much better we have it under FSG

This thread is a classic. You sir should be a scriptwriter for a major television network. You are wasted at ja606 lol

Any excuse to try and take the blame away from Kenny and his awful buys and poor season, hey? Not to mention his questionable PR work.

I was being sarcastic.

How anyone can be fairly judged whilst working in those circumstances is beyond me.

Ruiney this is about the demise before Kenny - although yes his recent managerial spell didnt do much to improve the situation.

Yes, we are really pulling up trees at the moment. Filling the ranks with quality signings to show their backing for the new manager.

We are rapidly heading for the doldrums on a year in year out basis, while the teams ahead carry on strengthening.

Who cares who's to blame? All I want to see is the current manager and owners doing what they promised to do and competing in the transfer market with the best. It's not happening.

We have some time left but it's ebbing away, Kuyt, Maxi,Aqua and probably Bellamy are gone. Who is coming in? Nobody knows.

Fail.

Jav was very vocal about how poor Kenny was last season and how he had to be replaced. A cursory look at his profile would have told you that.

It never ceases to amaze me how it's impossible to say anything about Hodgson without rival fans bringing up Dalglish.

It was all Konchesky's mum's fault

Aqua hasn't played for us for 2 years. kuyt's best attribute was his engine and it wasn't there last season and Maxi was either great or shìte.

All of them where on huge wages! If it had been Suarez, Reina and Skrtel who had left, you'd have a point but the players that have left where fringe players and hav'nt left huge gaps in the squad!

HYB, apologies friend, I thought you were being serious. These will be interesting, as well as difficult times for the club. It really is undergoing a root-and-branch transformation. I haven't seen the Gomel game yet, but, apparently we were woeful. It will take time, but I believe that BR will get us there. jimmyTheRed

I was almost sure that Xabi said on Sky Sports News that his mind had been made up to leave after Rafa had tried to sell him in the summer of 08
