I'm pretty sure that he's talking about the fact that England have been, and will be, summarily outplayed by every team they come up against under Hodgson because of his extremely negative philosophy.
Capello was pilloried for similar showings, but Hodgson has managed to lower expectations to the point where such performances are viewed as heartening.

The England team is no great shakes, but to suggest that it's so bad that the only option is to play two banks of four against every team they're faced with, regardless of the opposition's quality, is laughable.
It's amazing how the view of the national team changed so quickly when Capello left and Hodgson came in. Capello would've been destroyed for such negative approach.

I was critical of a lot of last season but always maintained my support and wished it would improve.
I love Kenny and i'm not excusing last season by blaming Roy. Kenny made his own mistakes and had enough at his disposal to improve on our final league placing. The cups were a bonus. More tactical nouse in the FA Cup and we'd have had a decent looking season. I was made up by winning the league cup, thrilled and proud. Shoot me.
I admit it is harsh on Roy considering who he had upstairs but he wasn't the man and didn't succeed at his LFC chance.
On Rafa, some of you talk some rubbish. To the United fan that said they love Rafa... what a load of bull. Rafa was beginning to get Fergie's number and 08/09 should have been the start. He had a creative and solid unit working together and he did it under tough circumstances.
H+G were a joke and Rafa did exceptional in spite of this. Better than Roy, tenfold.
Rafa was to play Barry at CM or even LM? So what?
It's not like Fergie ever bought Djemba x2 and Kleberson is it?

I'm afraid to inform you that this is quite possibly the least accurate post in ja606 history.
1) The primary reason for England's awful showing was Hodgson's outlandishly negative setup.
2) Yes, Hodgson had little time beforehand, but if you gave him a year to prepare, England would have played the same hopeless football.
3) I'm Irish - who the England national team manager is means nothing to me on an emotional level.
4) Your jab about me disliking Hodgson because of his speech impediment was pretty low - although it is indicative of the lack of substance to your argument.
