And another manager comes in trying to buy overrated British players. They won't progress under him IMO.
How much have Spurs spent in the last 10 years to win a whopping great one Carling Cup?
I hope Liverpool sell Agger, they won't be able to replace him with any one nearly as good as him.
They might even try to loan Caulker
Don
I never miss a chance to LAL but Joe Allen is going to be a brilliant talent. The only thing I would say is that he might develop better at United, Spurs or Arsenal as opposed to the English players graveyard that is Liverpool.
Apparently there was a thread on their board earlier comparing him to Xavi and Henderson to Iniesta

To be honest he's a good player and I wouldn't mind him at United, perhaps not for £15M, but he is a good player.
Although Brendan Rodgers had a written agreement with Swansea that he wouldn't sign a player from them for this season, so even though that release clause has been met, Swansea don't have to accept it.

I'll double laugh at Liverpool and the bitters if they buy him as he'll just end up being on the physio table for them.

I said that and said that they were nowhere near the same ability just a similar style of player and then backtracked on the Henderson/Iniesta comparison.
Way to cherry pick a comment and take it out of context completely
Joe Allen look's a good player from the little I've seen. This could turn out to be a good bit of business for a change.

Think how much better he could have been learning from the likes of Scholes and Fabregas.
I'm not saying allen is rubbish but he is not worth 15mil, more like 7 or 8.
I wouldn't be surprised to see Swansea bid for Jenas if they sell Allen
hink how much better he could have been learning from the likes of Scholes and Fabregas.

Yes, Gerrard would have been learning from Fabregas who is 9 years his junior.
