Brendan Rodgers sacked by Reading
Fred Bassett ,
All the Spurs fans wanted Buck before he came to Liverpool and now they think the man who flopped drastically at Chelsea will bring them success
====================
I must admit, i'm not a fan of AVB. But at least he hasnt come to my club & started spending £15m on average players.
Phew.
He's still rolling on with it Chicken
I'm sure I can find articles from ages ago about managers (I probably made one) that put Ancelotti or Moyes as favourite. Rodgers and AVB are both gambles.
At least our manager's won stuff.. and our players aren't massively overpriced failures
Liverppol used to have famous players and famous Managers , not they just have over priced rubbish and a young manager who they think is the new messiah
And they said Hodgson was out of his depth
Roy Rodgers should do okay managing Liverpool, he is well suited to managing a mid table team.
If he ever gets to manage a big club, I think he will be out of his depth.

I find it strange that he can criticise AVB, a manager who won the Portuguese league and Europa League, for being sacked by Chelsea, a club notorious for being inpatient with managers, then ignore the fact his manager was sacked by Reading for leaving them one place above relegation

1 Champions League appearance and Spurs think they're a big club.
Then the funniest part is they think AVB is a good manager

You do have to laugh.
Even in a comparatively quiet period for our club, over the last 8 years, we have won the champions league, been to another final, reached a semi final, and two quarter finals.
God knows how spurs fans would act if they had a record anywhere near that.
Anyway, good luck to them, beyond the footballing irrelevance dig, Ive always liked spurs as a club, and the style of football they have played over the years, so I wouldnt go as far as to change my mind about a decent club, based soley on a few needy, and somewhat deluded soles, who feel they are in a position to try and take the p!$$ out of a truly great club like ours.

Rodgers had players who could play football last yr, how the hell is he going to get the the useless rabble at Liverpool to play a quick passing game with chumps Adams and Gerrard in midfield

Enjoy the past.
I'm sure Joe Allen will love playing for a club who, over the last 8 years, have won the champions league, been to another final, reached a semi final, and two quarter finals.
Good luck with that Joe.

Tip top wumming.
Look, Spurs have been a superior side to us for the past few seasons and we've got a bit of catching up to do, no qualms there but lets not forget that in that period we as a club have been through our worst moments since the late 1950s.
Remarkably we've still won silverware in that time, Spurs as expected haven't. It may not be the biggest of cups but it's a cup nonetheless and to add to that where do we find ourselves now? Yes, both in the Europa ahead of a new campaign. No better of.
It must be deflating. To find yourselves in no better a position, realistically. You haven't exactly had the ideal summer now, have you? If anything the stagnation begins, back to the late 80s moving into the 90s back to the pack.
Still. you watch good football, right?
Robbing..................................Defoe is fine and don't forget you lot paid £20m for Keane!!!!!
Breaking news on Sky is that Roy Rodgers is looking to add to his stable of Cart Horses and is considering a £20m bid for Trigger

So the fact Liverpool are the worst they've been in 62 years, is a good thing now is it?

Chicken,
Did I say that?
Merely pointing out that during some pretty turbulent times we've won something. Whilst during that time you haven't and going into a new campaign are no better off IMO.
