Dr F. Why have some of the sevilla fans started boycotting games?

Just watched Mexes' goal. I might be alone in thinking this, but it seemed a complete fluke to me. Poorly executed technically, not enough height on the jump, so he struck the ball from too low and without much power. The combination of both is what actually steered the ball over the keeper and into the goal, but it was no way as purposeful as Ibra's.

Shame. That Egyptian riot headgear would've been a more interesting inspiration.

He could cut his hair into riot-headgear shape though. Like the guy who wore two bread buns on his ears and a loaf tied to the top of his head with a tea towel. Or was that 2 different guys?

Anyhow, that would be innovative.

Dr F. Why have some of the sevilla fans started boycotting games?
-------------

Majority of these fans boycotting are members of Biris Norte, Sevilla's ultra group.Basically, it all started in a friendly match against UD Roteña where some Biris started a fight at the stadium after the match. Del Nido got really angry and introduced new "safety" measures in the lower tier "Gol Norte", where the Biris are located at. Extra fencing, more security guards, Del Nido had turned Gol Norte into a prison cell. Flags, banners and drums were also not allowed by Del Nido.

I think the only reason - or perhaps the main reason - why Del Nido decided to go soft with the measures was because the derby was coming along It would be pretty embarrassing if 1500-2000 Beticos outsang the Sevillistas in the derby.

I'm glad that they've found a short-term solution so far.
