there's a lot on here who want us out ASAP
To me there is a difference between out as quickly as possible and 'screw the cup lets play the reserves'
Personally I want Warnock to come out and say no matter what happens we will be playing the second string and players needing match fitness in this cup.
Then put out the reserves, if they win, great they get another game and get to show what they can do again. If not then no big loss
I don't mind being knocked out in the next round if we draw a team like Chelsea etc. Getting knocked out by Oxford would be a bit embarrassing

team sheet for tonight.
Warnock's latest mystifying decision - says he doesn't know what he'd do if he lost Pearce or Austin.....then plays them both tonight!
No sign of Pugh or Nunez.
Ashdown, Lees, Kisnorbo, Pearce, Drury, Byram, Brown, Austin, White, Diouf, Gray.
Subs: Kenny, Peltier, Becchio, Varney, Thompson, Poleon, McCormack.
Hard to understand playing Pearce and Paddy in defence, good that Austin getting more playing time to acclimitize to playing in England, IMHO.
strange, i thought he'd use Nunez , get another look at the lad and see if he's worth reconsidering, still NW knows what he's doing
not that bothered about cup runs this season, not sure if we can afford them with this manpower situation.
score ............probably 3-0 Austin, Diouf and Gray
I understand playing Austin, to help him adapt faster. Glad to see Poleon and Thompson in the squad. Warnock must want to progress in this competition, we do seem to need the money
Diouf playing - does that mean he's signed a contract?? It was said that deadline was today for Diouf deal?!
Proud, playing Oxford is hardly going to help him adapt to Championship.
Ashdown - makes sense
Lees - missed start of season so again makes sense
Paddy - delighted at this, for no other reason that after everything he has gone through to be starting a game is a real bomus for him
Pearce - erm...bit of a risk
Drury - needs match fitness so makes sense
Byram - second choice so good to see him start
Brown - makes sense
Austin - stalled a little last two games, probably giving him more game time to adapt
White - if he is playihng on the left ing great, Drury at leftback with him in front is what I want to see us play anyway
Diouf - needs more match fitness
Gray - makes sense
Will there be a warm welcome for Tony Capaldi?
Or will there be a mocking rendition of 'United reject'
Evening HW hope your ok Im just about to take my seat in the stadium the crowd looks around about 10,000
Hi Lancs, ok Mate ...(stop gloating )
Enjoy the game buddy
Not happy at all Must be bonkers.
Pearce, Drury, Austin, White, Diouf
Should not be in at game like this.
If they get injured god help us.
Evening All

Just started listening.
The starting 11 is disappointing. Why didn't Poleon get a start?
