Listen I do think Wenger was looking for 'specials talents' and he doesn't want average players. I respect that he doesn't fall for the hype or bow to pressure and sign overrated crap players people call for us to sign.
What annoys me is when I heard his words I was 100% certain we would sign 2 players let alone 1. I love the man but he shoudn't get people's hopes up like that. Sometimes it's like he's trying to play games against all his critics who tell him he needs to buy.
And I feel a bit of a mug for falling for it because he's come out with this special talent stuff at least two other seasons previously. We'll still finish in the top 4 so come the end of the season the club will feel 'vindicated' but like Kam said we're capable of more.

I think we're stronger in midfield as well. Song's departure really isn't that big a blow as long as Wilshere and Diaby stay fit. And even if they don't, we're still better offensively and there isn't that much difference defensively.
