The comments like "Relax. We'll finish top 4. We'll stay ahead of Spurs" hardly help. Like finishing top 4 and beating Spurs is our(and I mean supporters, not the club clearly) ambition

closed and no signings from Wenger....sickening

I only said that because people were saying we wouldn't finish in the top four. I hear the same **** every season.

I'm not happy with finishing in the top four every season.

I can see Wenger lying that RVP will stay, just to make sure we get a higher price. But why the fk did he lie that he'll bring in a creative midfielder and maybe a defender??? Makes no sense.

And we have Walcott without a long term contract. That's going to be next summer's saga...yippee

Man, if we lose against Liverpool on Sunday I will cry.

Lex just from random guesswork around 300k off our wagebill taking into account new signings.

If we do Kam, Good Luck Mr Wenger when you turn up to the Emirates next

how do we stay in top four with less goals this season? a better defence. expect the 1-0 to the arsenal and boring football to comeback. yay!!

There won't be a saga with Walcott next summer. He'll be gone in January if he doesn't sign before then.

Next summer will be all about... well, you might as well [insert name here].

I get that Kamran.....but its not just you. Some people are claiming that this was a good transfer window for us because compared to Spurs and Pool, we have strengthened. What kind of ridiculous barometer is that????? (and the fact is debatable when it comes to Spurs anyway, although that is irrelevant)

Verm and Kos to go next summer

Football is only a game anyways it could of been much worse

The goo dnews though is that DIaby will clearly have a stormer of a season. Because after spending around 25 years injured, he will finally have his RVP season, and then leave for...lets see....maybe Tottenham this time?

"1-0 to the arsenal and boring football to comeback."

I would actually love a season of that.

Cereal fact is we're gonna finish top 4 and not challenge for the title so our rivals are Spurs and Liverpool. People were saying we'll drop out of top 4 and I'm just saying we're still better than them imo.

Walcott is now officially a free agent.

I would be shocked if we shaved off that much. I actually think we will roughly be the same as last season, since Song wasn't really on that high a salary

8bit the very fact that we are ruling out CHelsea as a rival despite the fact that they finished 6th last season shows how low our ambitions are falling, and how easy we are making it for the club to please us. Soon it will be ...don't worry we might be 6th but we did reach the final of the Carling Cup

Didn't we get 50M for qualifying for the CL?

Van Persie, Song, Vela, Bendtner, Denilson, Park, Almunia, Benayoun all high earners off the wage bill, and our youth players aren't payed too badly. Only 3 new signings and a few improved contracts.

posted on 31/8/12

Yes we did get 50M from the CL and they are all in the bank.

Spurs have spent £56.6m in this window.

Thank God, Arsene isn't the manager of Spurs.

We get that CL money every year though, we budget to get that money so it doesn't effect us.

8bit Denilson, Bendtner,Vela were not on our wage bill last season. We are paying part of Park's fees. We were also not paying Benayoun's full wages I think
Plus our new signings are on average 70K per week or so. Song was on quite low wages

The problem with loan deals is we are supplementing wages so our wage bill hasn't reduced that much in the case of those players!
