"..on 20 December 2007 it was announced that the Mittal family had purchased a 20 per cent shareholding in Queens Park Rangers football club joining Flavio Briatore and Mittal's friend Bernie Ecclestone. As part of the investment Mittal's son-in-law, Amit Bhatia, took a place on the board of directors."
Lakshmi Mittal is SERIOUSLY loaded.
It was the total worth of QPR's board that was worth more than Roman and Sheik.
It had Eccelstone and Fernandes and few other big boys from F1.

RVP - Lakshmi Mittal may be richer than the Saudi Royal family, but not Fernandes himself
QPR are richer than the Glazers, who own the biggest club in England Wow.
Lex
Still, 185% of turnover? Ridiculous!
Cheers Lex and Bale's, understand it better now.
What?
Are Sauber paying Chelsea to avertise their club on Saubers' car?
If anything this is costing Chelsea..er..Roman more money
---
Nah, neither side are paying either side, apparently, it's just a way of extending both brands to new audiences and parts of the world.
It was just an example of some of the things the board are doing to try and increase their revenue.
All clubs are trying to reach out to new markets worldwide though. Winning the CL will help you guys in that respect though.
Good Article OP, genuine reflection of each teams dealings in summer
Fair play to Swansea and Everton they look stronger and have made profits, very well run clubs.
Reading and Newcastle have also done well IMO.

Winning does make the job easier, that is why I wonder why our board refuses to give us the finances to win stuff!
BTW - F1
Jensen Button got Pole, Kobayashi with Sauber 2nd, Maldonado - 3rd.
7th Hamilton
Sorry Ham 8th, Alonso 6th
Actually Hamilton will be 7th as Webber has a 5 place grid penalty!
Where the hell is Vettel?
Vettel missed out in Q2 - 11th I think.
Out:
Kranjcar - 5
Corluka - 5
Pienaar - 4.5
Bassong - 5.5
Modric - 30
Button - 0.5
VDV - 10
Giovani - Reported to be 1 million
Rose - Probably about 1 million loan fee
Kane - Probably about 500k loan fee
In:
Sig - 8
Vert - 9
Adebayor - 5
Dembele - 15
Dempsey - 6
Lloris - 8
About 12 million profit, dunno where you got 0.86 net spend from.
Forgot about Grant Hall 1.5 million so about 10.5 million profit
What AVB said - we've made around 8-12m profit. Even with add-ons Lloris will only cost us around 12m. Absolute bargain
The figure he used was your profits from the 2010-11 season
I've seen it before
