Improving our league position is the biggest objective
-------------------------------------------------------------------

What were we 3 points off the top 4 when poch went?

How many are we now?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We were 11 points off 4th.

Surely even Mourinho supporters can see what a toxic presence he is at the club, considering the tone of the discussion on here even after 2 straight wins.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This.

I feel like we are just rehashing comments made by United fans when Mourinho was their manager.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Plenty of us have been banging this drum since before he joined. I remember what the United boards were like during Mourinho's time, and it was just as bad during his 2nd spell at Chelsea
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Didn`t he like win two trophies in a season, more than Spurs have for the whole of this century? So what was bad about that. You would kill to see Spurs win a trophy.

I just don`t get the hate.

Amusing how our only winners in the past 25 years have been two managers, Graham and Ramos, who most Spurs fans on here detest, both serial winners at other clubs. Same with Jose.

There is a common theme. All the nice cuddly Spurs managers, that our supporters drooled over like Jol, Harry and Poch didn`t win a bean between them.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I just don't really see the point in watching football if it's not enjoyable. I'm not that desperate for a sense of belonging or superiority.

Sandys stance on this is complete wummary. I miss the overly optimistic fan who wouldn't always harp on about managers.

yeah he's gone off the rails with this jose-poch thing, really cba with it

i dont agree with lots of posters but not gonna bother with the disingenuous ones

7 points if utd win their game in hand and 10 if Leicester beat us at the weekend and win their game in hand so we are not really any better off

Like a lot I have never hated Jose but never saw him a fit for spurs. Was interested when he came in how it could work. More annoyed with the lack of patience given to a loyal spell from who he was taking over.

The football Jose has served up recently has been awful and I also like to be entertained but we do celebrate and remember the big wins and trophies. He has to bring those in for Levys gamble to pay off.

What I liked about the last two games, if not spectacular I thought we played a passable game for entertainment value. We created chances at least and were deserving of wins. This is helped a lot by when teams are more open against us though. I would like to see Jose go a bit different when a team is set up differently.

The problem is it should never be a Poch-Jose thing its two different subjects.

Was it time for Poch to go then yes

Was jose the man to replace him then no

Should I give him time? No

If we were to sign Mustafi from woolwich would I need to give him time before deciding he was crap or dont I know that already?

Do I need anymore time to convince myself that jose football is boring turgid and he is poison or dont I know that already?

Do I need time to know that jose is a cheque book manager? Hardly

Do I need to give Benteke two windows if we sign him to have an opinion or has watching him for the last 10 years not been enough for me to make a judgement

I would like to point out while we are saying how many points poch got this season we had a extremely hard start to the season

City, arsenal, Liverpool, Leicesters all away in his 9 games
----------------------------------------------------------------------
yup, plus a last minute equaliser from everton after we went down to 10 men unjustly

to contextualise to the people who keep talking about 14th, if we held on in that game we would have been 8th and 1 point off 5th

Stick to your guns as its good to debate. Time will tell. Poch had 5 or 6 years and left us in the same state as he found us. Bar Pep and Klopp there is no one better to change our fortunes. We have a proven winner. He gets my backing all day long.

And yes the football isn't great but our players are working hard and running more for Jose than they did for Poch this season.

I wont argue on poch cos I thought it was time for him to go but I will argue on his replacement.

jose will not change our fortunes without a blank cheque and we know that or do I need to give him two windows to find that out as well?

We all know jose will not be allowed to spend big in the transfer market. Now go back over his history in the english game and tell me a youngster he bought thru the ranks instead of a big buy?

This is the same guy that let a young KDB go from chelsea rather than give him a chance and thats not the only player he has sold who has gone on to success after failing under jose

Yes because he can be judged whilst having a pre season and at least one window which will be the most crutial. You don't need to do anything except sit back, relax and enjoy the ride.
