"What makes a Sport or not ???"

For me, a vague sense of actual competition would be a start.

Aleksander Karein was not some brain-addled WWF star or that pantomine sport with lycra.

Wrestling to me is the olympic sport of Greco-Roman origin: Greco-Roman wrestling. And Karein's achievements in the superheavy weight division is unrivalled.

as i said in the opympics, in my opinion, a pure sport is something where the result can be determined without the need for a judge.

i.e. there is some kind of goal, or race.

thus something like gymnastics does not count, as it is purely done on judges scores.

everyone always brings up boxing as a counter argument, but boxing doesnt need judges to decide the outcome. if you knock your man out, you win.

if the "sport" relies solely on judges opinions to determine a winner, then it isnt a sport.

1. Tiger Woods, its ridiculous how dominant he was, and Im not lucky enough to ever see the glory days of Ali.

2. (wanna go VDV) Tim Duncan, a true professional and has one of the most ridiculous wins per game ratio! When he was 28 he had won ~92% of games he had played in! Made the SAS the dynasty they are now, and still continues to impress at 36/37. Also the fact that he has no ego/ bad side to him makes him all the more impressive.

Shove Ha'penny ????

Dominoes ???

They can get pretty competitive and I've seen the ambulances called out after a Saturday night Doms dispute

TBH I'm on your side over wrestling which does pose the question ..Where is the line drawn between sports and games , table tennis very much started as a parlour game but nobody can now deny it's a sport

Was reading about Duncan the other day, would have been a swimmer if the only olympic size pool on his islands hadn't been destroyed in a hurricane

Yeah Thunderkiss. Didnt play bball till like 15 or something. Then became 1st round draft pick, rookie of the year, 2 time MVP, 4 times champion, 3 time finals MVP, plus countless other accolades.

Some people are just born talented

You have to be insane to say gymnastics isn't a sport cos it's scored by judges. It's incredibly demanding, both physically and mentally, not to mention technically.

Snooker isnt a sport, I will never agree its a sport.

Mainly because I am terrible at it.

Senna's death nearly 20 years ago had a devastating impact , but was probably the event that caused the safety regs to be tightened to an extent that fortunately he was the last driver to be killed in F.1
