If you go back more than 3 yrs +/- consider GROSS rather than NET transfer spend, you may find the Poool did in fact spend much less.

I suspect that the Spurs book balancing of the past 3 seasons is probably similar to theirs around the time of the CL win (a squad that is doing well etc undergoes pruning rather than wholesale ins and outs) .

It's impressive because on a lot smaller budget we've overtaken Liverpool over recent years.

Obviously, Chelsea fans have no concept of building your club within your means.

Well if Roman owned Totenham and won the league and the Champions League you'd be sitting in a corner saying how tainted it is? You Spurs fans keep going on about Roman yet even before he came, Spurs couldn't finish above Chelsea so how much more crap must have Spurs been?
