Worry about your own team before you rip Liverpool! My mates younger brother is studying sports economics and he has slapped £200 on everton getting relegated in the next 3 years. A he really is ITK!

What difference does it make what a player is worth. Who cares that we paid £35m for Carroll. It has nothing to do with your team? Its our business. We had the money and we decided to pay it. Same for Henderson and Downing.

A price tag doesn't make a player. Schevchenko, Veron and Robinho are examples. Hefty price but they were poor in this league. Henderson and Carroll have already shown in the early stages of their careers that they hack this league. Neither are world class but that doesn't matter, they're effective.

We believe that we've bought some good young English players in Carroll and Henderson. Players who have the potential to be playing for us for the next 8-10 years. In Downing and Adam we have players who could be here for the next 5 at least. All of them will pay for themselves once we get back into the Champions League

"sixth is better than seventh, no?"
----------------

Didn't think the RS could count past five. Don't they use the index finger of one hand to count the fingers on their other hand, then get confused?

But yes, 6th is better than 7th. Well done.

So 2015/16 is their year, although at this rate, we'll be their rich neighbours by then

But sixth is better than seventh, there for closer to first.

Did I miss something in maths when I fell asleep most of the time?

Just because Everton got out bid by a championship club for a player, does not mean you can come on here whinging about how much your neighbours have spent.

Everton - Always in our shadow even after our worst year in decades

They managed just one more point than Everton in that time

Yes and you had a good second half of the season too. What's your point?

He'll have to take his dufflecoat mittens and socks off to count that high.

We could send over N'Gog as a good will gesture to our little neighbour, across the park, in order to remind them what it's like to have a 'quality' new player arrive?!

So i made a bad signing joke - you could have replied with a Jeffers for £8million but you went with a child snatcher joke. Classy guy.

I am happy in the knowledge that our current squad is more than capable of competing for fourth place as it is. We have some excellent youth players coming through, Gueye and Barkley amongst others. Barkley in particular already looks a class act. We don't need to spend stupid money on players who wouldn't improve us, players like Downing and Henderson wouldn't get in our first 11 so why would we waste money on crap like that. Your clubs a joke, our club is run properly by proper owners, yes they don't have much money but that's the reality. Chances are that Liverpool are spending money that they don't have and could end up like Leeds.

Why send N'Gog then

Very good WUM, I like it.

My personal favourites were:

"can Liverpool really expect to be challenging for the top 4, where there are more established teams in the pecking order."

Like Man City and Spurs we can only presume who have both qualified for the Champions League a grand total of once each in the last god knows how many years.

&

"Evertons first XI would eclipse that of Liverpool due to their experience of playing together and holistic experience throughout the squad."

What a load of bullocks
