Spartacus
Fawaz is married to a member of the Kuwaiti royal family, and their company turns over billions a year. They've got money.

Sutton GSE have money, but they don't spend it

Wassa, GSE are a management consultancy. They have to get the money from the 'investors' before they can spend it.

Rev, "hypoctrits - if only you could rewind 18 months when all bar none were screaming for Clough's head"
......,,
Total BS you utter plonker!
Very few on here ever called for Nigel to go and most have consistently supported him.
Show me a post where I said I wanted him out (don't waste time looking because you'll find nowt)
Stupid statements like that leave you with as much credibility as 666 currently enjoys - here only for the entertainment!

But you are not living within your means are you.
A £7 mil shortfall last season proves that.
I read somewhere that your accounts show debts of £31 mil.

Spartacus, well if you've met one dodgy bloke from the Middle East then they must all be dodgy, especially if Al Fayid is too.

Where's 666/Mostyn when you need them?

I didn't say they all were, just that is not unusual to exaggerate wealth in middle eastern culture and I only gave an example of one.

Evening 666, good to see you repeating yourself again
I've never apologised for GSE, just tried to educate you and others about how widely regarded they and their rationale are within the football community

666, I don;t think it's fair to call our owners 'non-investors' (and I'm not their biggest fan by any stretch). However they HAVE I believe invested 50M + into the club which must be an 'investment' in anyone's book.

I think it's fair to say that many of us 'criticise' them because they do not continue to invest in the SQUAD. I believe they invested a further 7M last year alone just to cover losses/interest/operating costs etc. which many football clubs operate at.

Everyone exaggerates their wealth, it's human behaviour. But to be fair, there is every possibility our owners are a bunch of Charlatans and it will go t!ts up. What I don't really understand is what they get out of pretending to be rich and buying a football club? Do they get any financial gain from it? Serious question,...

It was a loan baz

Wassa, explain what investment isn't a loan please!
Cannigia, good question! Egotistical power trip for most I reckon. Some make money (Ken Bates) but most chuck money away like confetti.

So 666 you say we are building a team by default. Would you prefer the ownership of a rich sugardaddy ala Forest Leicester, or is there a third way?
You can't use the Everton or Tottenham models as they are already in the Premier League

grff.
I agree but I remember from the start GSE were right up front with Nigel re funds etc. They agreed between themselves it was the only way and it would take a long time. Both GSE and Nigel behaved completely in line with that.

SO there was no deceit involved and no misunderstanding. Nigel had already demonstrated the slow build approach at Burton. GES chose Nigel because of his reputation. That called for great judgement on the part of GSE and great application from Nigel
