I think you are too. Some players might actually benefit from it individually. A team with Rooney is still far better than one without though in my mind.

You can't overlook the effort and desire he brings to the team. Even when not playing well, I think that he helps to lift other players.

However, perhaps they would flourish if he left. It would certainly give Kagawa a chance to show what he can do.
