If its decided that we go with the current proposal will this be another "punishment" towards TRFC?>
-------------------------------------------

No but it's a kick in the nuts for all 3rd division fans.

Surely you agree that reconstruction of any sort should not come into 2014/2015?

Why has Green not came out and slated his own proposal considering the outcome for Rangers is the same as 12-12-18/8-8-8? Rangers will still playing in bottom tier against majority of same teams.

maybe because rangers are thinking of the game as a whole, rather than just 1 league. oh and he may have a belter up his sleeve ready to be played whenthe time is right

Dve

That is my concern re a team miss the top 8 by a point say yet are after 22 games say 10 points away from bottom.

The hard graft they put in for 22 games is worth nothing.

You cant zero the points. that just seems silly.

From my recollection of the fans surveys any option that contained an increase in the numbers of the top division scored well.

Question for the bears here what is the reasons behind opposing the 12-12-18. Obviously it is benificial to the top clubs. Do any of you believe that Rangers would be so antagonistic towards any proposals that benifit the top clubs if you were not in your current predicament. Backing Greens attacks is stupid but can relete to the reasoning for many fans. The fact is though that if he had any actuall say for his own short term goals he would be acting against the best interest Rangers by the time any deal that does not look after the top clubs actually has any relevence on them when they regain the prominence of the club they have replaced as we all expect them to do

Honest answers is Green acting in the best long term interest of the club playing fitba out of Ibrox

Why ? so the team that sits currently where rangers are just now can have the gripes that rangers currently have with it?

It shouldnt be held back a year just because Rangers top the third

Tommyb you seem a bit mad.

This proposal does not get us up any quicker than the other one.

even a few of your fellow Celtic fans who have been very critical of green for the last few days have been honest enough to say they prefer it to the sfl idea.

The whole point of a league is that the best team over the logn haul win it and the worst go down.

Its that simple.

the 888 has zero integrity

By the same token,it shouldn't be railroaded through just BECAUSE Rangers are in the third

Why the rush do it right away,do you think?

Scotscelt I and many others have answered honestly your questions above several times now.

why do you keep asking?

As it stands Hearts have 14 points more than Dundee

The 8 8 8 has them on zero with Dundee in a sprint finish.

No Tornado so at the start of the season you know what you are playing for, surely that is what sporting integrity is all about?

So if the 11 SPL clubs were to gang up on Celtic tomorrow and state that this year the SPL championship was to be decided by a one off playoff between 1st and 2nd place you would see that as fair?

I have to agree here , it seems a little unjust that 3 teams sitting below you in the league could finish above you if that makes sense

It would possibly work better as 1 reg 1 promoted and 3 teams from top and bottom battle it out for 3 places

Well taking a sensible approach would seem the best way forward not just throwing in numbers and hoping for the best. What we all are missing here is the fact that Scottish football is suddenly so dire and needs drastic change is being driven by the downfall of one club????

Duke, as it stands just now is skewed by the fact Dundee Utd haven't played their 22nd game, were they to lose the re-arranged game aginst Celtic then they would be in the bottom 4 on goal difference. That would be a real boot in the haw maws.

posted on 14/1/13

could be CT just as long as you know when you enter a competition what the rules are.

I may then change my mind and say its a good idea and we should do it THIS season

Im not sure its coming from the angle you think it is . Its been getting looked at for a while now and you have to implement it at some point

Im asking this genuinely : Would you deem the current proposal ( if it went ahead ) as a punishment towards rangers ?
And do you believe thats why they are doing it??
