Nothing to discuss. Megson becomes manager and this particular Town fan boycotts the games. It's that simple.

Megson. What a sick joke.

Hey, hold yer harses champers, its far from a done deal yet, surely?? Nevertheless that'd be a hasty, if not harsh decision for you to make 'Champ' wouldn't it ? almost as harsh as Hoyles knee jerk treatment of Larry.
Just because a manager has (seemingly) failed elsewhere (actually Owls weren't badly placed when he was red carded) doesn't mean to say he won't be a success at his next club.

Examples anyone?

As they say, the past does not equal the future, no ?

not the man i'd like to see in charge but he was at derby yesterday, and it just seems a little bit suss to me,2 days ago adkins and coyle were close in the betting as favs to take over the manager at town, with megson in the region of about 10/1 now adkins is 8/1,coyle 12's and megson 1/4 on to get it , so if the bettings anything to go by,megsons our man.

The future is....ginger ?

Why's it harsh Brûlée? Watching Town is a luxury and one I can barely afford as it is. And you know how the Megson story ends......with the sack.

If Hoyle thinks Megson is the one to get our lads winning matches then good luck to him, but I won't share his vision for the club anymore. And my my cash would be better spent on something else

We are all jumping the gun on here but may be on second thoughts, Megson is just the type of manager Town could do with right now, to put a rocket up the players R'ses.. - Here's what Darren Huckerby had to say about him, when he later explained why he had chosen to sign for WBA and not Megson's Norwich City. "I told him I didn't like the way he coached, I didn't like the way he shouted at his players and didn't like the way he treated seasoned professionals like 15 year old 's. I was just being honest with him. I said "I've seen you on the sidelines and you look like a crazed animal". According to Huckerby Megson's response was that "he told me that was how he had to work with his players"

So may be appointing someone like Megson is not as dumb a decision as some fans fear, me included.

Yes but surly if he's a cu* t with the players they won't like him so won't play for him , that = relegation .

Mega Megson ? I dunno ye know, He comes across (to me) as a right argumentative sod, a real opinion polariser and player/fan divider and just the type who would be given short shrift and a rocky ride with town supporters, a sort of Lee Clark with bit more experience which might well suit our Mr Mirfielder

Personally, not my type at all (I much prefer flair Players/Managers in the Poyet/Di Canio mould). Media wise he seems a bit quiet, On the touchline a bit studious, doubtless he'll be comfortable in the boardroom with a briefcase stacked full of facts n figures n papers to impress the board (Yeh i can see his Hoyle appeal) but pretty incapable of holding a dressing room team together in enthusiastic unison.
Dye know i could quite easily write myself out of this guys good books. Certainly he's no exciting inspirational fan bonding 'flair' manager the likes of what so many of us fancy so hey, take your time Dean, On this one think long and hard.

Dickov just resigned! Don't want him either.

posted on 3/2/13

Di canio is who I want but he's not the type that dean will go for , he'll tell the fans too much and dean won't want that.

Yes Hydy, Dickov can Fugof. So Grayson for Oldham then eh ?
Talk about roundabouts n swings, I say its all go in'it.

I'm sort of coming round a bit about Megson..yeah, he's not a favourite manager for the players, but I wouldn't mind someone coming in and roughing them up a bit...they are the ones who keep letting everybody down after all....okay, you might not have the skills, but you can run, and you can surely follow orders ?

I'd certainly give him a chance I suppose, what have we got to lose, we're going down anyway at this rate, so if he keeps us up, clears out the dross...in the summer...he has good contacts overseas as he has brought in loads of overseas players at former clubs...

He might do us for a couple of years, get us established in the Championship and take it from there....

You can't say he hasn't got experience...and he's pretty single minded too, fallen out with a few chairmen and fans in the past....a tough nut ?

Could be a cracker !! ?

Loui...yeah, but I've read up a bit more on Megson....volatile, annoying, single minded, unpopular even......but who cares...it's about avoiding relegation and if it takes megson to save us, so be it...

Derby obviously watched us against Palace and saw how aggressive we were in the middle particularly...palace didn't like it...but Derby had a game plan to be more aggressive than we were..once you lose midfield you lose the game...I didn't go to derby this time, but from the radio it was like we were always caught in possession or misplaced a pass because we were harried into errors....Clayton and Norwood sounded to be the main culprits. Lillis had said we have to trust each other, bring the ball down and short passing through the middle...but if your team mates are not prepared to help you out, then you are pretty much stuffed...as seemed to be the case.

Lillis did say he had a Plan B...but I didn't hear of any particular changes during the game, but at 0-2 you knew we'd lost already..

Last 3 away games we've conceded 13 goals...that is totally unacceptable.
