Smithies
Hunt Gerrard Wallace Dixon
Atkinson Norwood Danns
Clayton
Scannell Lee

Arfield has played lots recently and Norwood should be fresh after being rested on Tuesday, while Vaughan will probably be wrapped in cotton wool again but unleashed as early as possible when needed.

No ones anticipating an Immediate Loan signing then .. ?

Of Robins choosing .. ? ..

Maybe difficult for him to spot/identify whats most needed without him first seeing what he can get out our current squad .. ?

I see you've gotten Smithies back in goal Cas .. ? .. Is that your first preference .. ? .. I'd be tempted to give Bennett more game time ..

Well, hello Huddersfield! I'm sorry that I shall miss this game - I booked a weekend away before the draw was made.

Wigan have faced West Ham and Bradford in the League Cup, and Bournemouth and Macclesfield in the FA Cup. Each time, Martinez has taken the opportunity to give squad players and young players more experience of the first team. I expect that he will do so again.

Wigan have been playing quite well, despite their lowly position, and the squad has been strengthened by some new acquistions, several players returning from injury plus Kone coming back from the African Nations Cup.

Wigan have a big six-pointer against Reading next week, which I am sure Martinez will keep in mind. He has adopted a 3-4-3 formation so, with four or five first team regulars, his team could look something like this;
Al Habsi
Scharner Alcaraz Golobart
Stam McArthur Jones Espinoza
Di Santo Henriquez Gomez

This team should give you a good game. Martinez will probably put some first teamers on the bench in case of emergencies. His remaining stars are McCarthy, Maloney and Kone.

Wigan don't really want a replay - so let's hope for some goals and an exciting game on Saturday.

Of the top six threads on our board, 5 are about a New manager....
But check this out !

Go onto the ja 606 Coventry board, 4th thread darn from the top, There's a thread entitled 'Respect for, & from Mark Robins' by none other than Leeds Fan Jonty,
It's a quote from Robins upon taking the Managerial post at Coventry,
It's quite extensive, Have a read,
What do you think !

He mentions 'The 12th man' twice, and clearly understands the Importance of Parochial, vociferous support....something One or two of our supporters on ja 606 'claim' makes no difference at all !
Despite 'Oil', Clark, Grayson, club Captain Clarke & ex Player Booth all calling for such support on various occasions .

Of course it makes a difference.

If this guy makes a similar plea while at Town, & we as fans don't respond, What does that say about us ?

I hope this new Manager sees the 'folly' very quickly of us not having a 'home end',
I also hope he realizes that the visitors are allowed to stand...EVERY GAME, & be that very '12th man' that he advocates....Yet we are 'stifled' by a Jobs worth whilst trying to do the same.....

I say let him know 1st hand, immediately, what issues we fans have ..against our own club,
He obviously thinks that having very vocal support is integral to how the team perform.
So yeah,
lets back him,
& hope he puts weight behind 'our' cause & 'helps' us in return...
We really do need help in bringing this about from someone within the 'HTFC inc' hierarchy....because up to now. 'Put up, & shut up' seems to be the way.

And to all you younger fans, who can't remember what an East Terrace roar was Like.........
You're in for a treat if the necessary changes are made

Are you listening Mr Oil !
Then you'll see the next generation of supporters turning up in their droves.

Good Luck & Welcome to Udders Mr Robins.
You could well be what we've needed all along

Darn, it all harks back to my comments on Communication twixt Town and their fans. There is no official forum or medium for this, there are no updates on what issues fans are raising, there is no feedback.

You ask about the South Stand for instance (As I have via twitter, email and letter)..and you don't even get a reply. That's poor. That tells me the club don't give a monkeys chuff about the regular fans, all they want is the new generation bringing through...and they spend all their time on schools, breakfast clubs, Town Family and cheap ST's for Families.

The last thing Town want is a rowdy element behind the goal making a load of noise, waving flags with them lethal poles attached and upsetting everybody.

We can't even throw a bog roll on the pitch nowadays as it's considered dangerous !

It gets more like a trip to the Theatre every year., sit still, watch and applaud when appropriate.

The situation is screaming out for a Fan on the Board, to represent the views of the many, to ask the questions and to deliver feedback and progress...a job that should be undertaken by HTSA, but alas, they are but a mouthpiece of the club, and not a fans representative body.

The match day experience, as we all remember it, is dead and buried Darn...health and safety, security and an indifferent Board of Directors.

The longer it goes on, the less chance it will ever happen and the less inclined the 'traditionalists' will be bothered about it...as Deano said...we are a dying breed...it's all about the next generation...the future...

pah !!

Attendance is bound to be affected by a T V showing nevertheless whatever the weather I wanna be there at Robinia's first game in charge .. A reasonably, Purposeful Performance, is all I'll be looking for together with an appearance at some point from M Lillis (ideally asked for & approved by Robins) So we can show our appreciation ..

Our Man did a great job .. Please let no one forget that .. Dean ..

A burglar broke into a house one night. He shined his flashlight around, looking for valuables when a voice in the dark said, 'Jesus knows you're here.'
He nearly jumped out of his skin, clicked his flashlight off, and froze. When he heard nothing more, he shook his head and continued.
Just as he pulled the stereo out so he could disconnect the wires, clear as a bell he heard 'Jesus is watching you.'
Startled, he shined his light around frantically, looking for the source of the voice. Finally, in the corner of the room, his flashlight beam came to rest on a parrot.
'Did you say that?' he hissed at the parrot.
'Yes', the parrot confessed, then squawked, 'I'm just trying to warn you that he's watching you.'
The burglar relaxed. 'Warn me, huh? Who in the world are you?'
'Moses,' replied the bird.
'Moses?' the burglar laughed. 'What kind of people would name a bird Moses?'
'The kind of people who would name a Rottweiler Jesus.

Hallelujah...
a response,

thanks Jacko, I assume you read the 'Jonty' thread on the Coventry board ?
That was the whole reason for my outburst,
Me..thee, Brycey & others know full well the problems darn there, We also seem to be singing from the same song sheet regarding what we would like to see Implemented,
So...

When I read what Robins had said upon taking the CovJob...I thought WOW ! We have a bloke who thinks like us...maybe 'someone on our side',

He clearly see's the importance of having a parochial section willing on the team....
I just wanted to see if there was a like minded response from those among us who thought the along the same lines as we do...

I'd love to be a fly on the wall if he brought up this 'home end' issue...say on March 30th, after the Hull City fans have been exactly that 12th man he is on about.. only to have a 'scripted' football speak reply..Which in a nutshell would be Contradiction & Hypocrisy of the highest order, if it was suggested it wasn't possible for the home fans on 'safety' grounds !

He obviously enjoys an emotional feed back to his teams performances from the crowd.......I don't think sat in silence, or Moaning & groaning will be what he has in mind ....

Anyway, that quote that he thinks Leeds have some of the best vocal supporters in the country should rattle a few to respond.................
If they can be bothered to read Jonty's thread

Mick McMicheal was watching TOWN v L666s in the local derby game..!
The place was packed out, But the seat at the side of Mick was empty, But had a 'reserved' sticker on there .. !

"Who does that seat belong to" said the bloke shuffling along looking for an empty seat.

"My Wife usually sits there" said Mick !
"But why isn't she here then, being a season ticket holder" ? asked the other fan.

In a very 'matter of fact' mono tone MIck said..................
"She DIED" ( - )

"Oh, right... Why didn't you give the ticket to one of your mates" asked the other fan ?

Mick said,
"None of them could come... they've all gone to the funeral "
