They are only isolated if the rest of the team don't involve them in play. There have been similar accusations against Auba and Eddie. And often Laca has been caught coming too deep to get involved in play.

Love how you find an excuse for our CF but never had that excuse when Olivier Giroud played at Arsenal.

They can't be involved as they are isolated and easily defended. It is pretty hard to make a pass to a player with 2 or 3 around them, especially if they are static.

So why are they avoiding passing to the striker?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Dunno. But I have watched Mari who had serious problem to play out the ball to anyone.
------------
Is that really your answer to the question why nobody is passing the ball to the striker?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
no, pls read the next answer

They are static because thats what Arteta wants. It gets tiring for strikers to make unselfish runs, when the first intention of CMs or CB or fullbacks is to pass the ball back to Leno because its safer thing to do.

Can't believe you really thinking that.

Its true because we sit too deep. We are not progressive through the middle in transitions and when we build from the back. Its safety first. Its Arteta.

I really thought the games away to Fulham and home to Burnley were the worst I've ever seen, post-Rioch. But Brentford really set a new bar.

Imagine if Newcastle finish above us this season.

Imagine if Joe Willock scores 4 times as many as our entire midfield .

Again.

The sad thing its not an outrageous comment while Arteta is manager. It would mean we are fighting relegation.

If we don’t add any more players to the midfield we currently have, I can easily see happening again tbh.

I am almost sure we will sign Odegaard.

Does it make a difference? Dont think it will.

Newcastle look way more dangerous than we do going forward

posted on 15/8/21

yup....they also have much more pace all over as most teams I watched so far. Hightlight of that was United against Leeds yesterday.

We wouldnt have won or had a chance against both teams.

Interestingly, watching analysis videos about White after he joined us, for both Leeds and BHA one of his key abilities within a back 4 was positionally covering for his full back, and intercepting balls played in behind them.

I realise it’s only one game, but that looks a lot like he was being forced to cover for Mari more than Chambers.

Shambles.

🚨 Barcelona have offered a swap deal of Coutinho for Aubameyang. The other option is Lacazette. Any deal will have to involve a Barcelona player because they have no money. Reports, @_alexrodrigz.

Coutinho welcome to our treatment table.
