Chambers contract was going to finish in the summer ffs. How was it a surprise that we were gong to sell him?

Not including players currently out on loan, Mohamed Elneny has now been part of the Arsenal first-team squad the longest.

Yeah I don't get why they'd sell, given their ambitions, but everyone has a price.

I also don't get why we'd give Chambers away for nothing when we're short on numbers.

I'm not sure sold is the right word

Our wages are constrictive. There is no point keeping players who are out of contract in the summer and not being used. Hopefully the £2m we save will go towards the wages of an incoming player.

When we've got Saliba back I think the back line will look good. Two LBs, 3 good CBs and Holding to deputized, RB covered by Tomi, Cedric and Nuno/White in an emergency. Good options for playing 3 at the back if we need too.

Just a bit risky without that extra body back there
