How on earth is Auba leaving for free when he has 18 months left on his contract?

City vs Arsenal squad size.

City 8 defenders, Arsenal 7
City 8 midfielders, Arsenal 7
City 4 forwards, Arsenal 4

They compete on 3 fronts post break, we compete on 1.

We're short, but it's not an end of days catastrophe.

I know circumstance played a massive part, and the rot perhaps had started earlier, but in 2016, we finished 2nd in the league. It's absolutely nuts to see how far we've fallen in the last 5/6 years. I never thought we'd drop this badly. Ever.

As a self sustaining club we can't allow to have players on that wages. We arent playing in the same League as the big boys.

Adios Auba.

Quite a revelation of how we have turned from an attack minded team to a counter attack one.

Counter attacking should’ve suited Auba down to the ground. Can’t see it working for him at Barca, but we’ll see, I guess.

So in the coming years, we're going to be competing with Newcastle, City, United, Chelsea, Liverpool, Leicester & Spurs for a European spot. Then there's the likes of Everton and Villa who potentially have ambitious owners who will be looking to usurp us.

It's conceivable that we become a literal mid table club clinging onto the invincibles...oh wait.

And it did at the start. Its why we won the Fa Cup. But since then teams press and win the ball early so we can't build a counter or defend on mass to ask us to break them down.

It can change with one good managerial appointment as Liverpool proved.

Nothing will materially change until we get new owners.

Noncething is correct. The numbers are okay for our schedule.

All the players who left were very much bit part players who barely featured in the league.

And, as he says, no point buying players who will quickly become deadwood in the summer.

Once Isak is announced at 23:01 we will be okay.
