Still think we can finish 3rd if we beat Chelsea. It will be very ironic and very gut wrenching if Moyes Snr beats Moyes Jnr to 4th.
Could you know. It only needs Lacazette to go on one of his spurts.
We won't even finish top 4.
We're not evening going to get 4th. At some point you need goal scorers to get you wins. Lacazette is on Giroud 2015/16 form right now
So many difficult away games to go for us.

OH SOZ MATE, I MEANT GIROUD MARCH TO MAY 2016 PREMIER LEAGUE FORM, AYE
Thank god we haven't signed Maddinson for 80M in the summer. He is a good player. I like him but for that I say no for that amount of money.
Where is Vardy these days?
We have a very good defence. Teams are finally catching onto that so are starting to commit more to their attacks. If Arteta can release our forwards a bit more in that space we have a chance. I thought Spurs were the biggest danger but tbh the players are thinking more about their future than CL for them so I can't see where the danger comes from. Moyes will remain a counter attack type manager and I think they will drop points.
Tbh, I'd be confident of getting top 4 if Saka, Ødegaard, Martinelli started picking up more goals. Share the load a bit. But chances are hard to come by and those chances are falling to out of form strikers

Setting up a good defence isn't really a big thing. Burnley do it, so does West Ham and even Newcastle under new management are starting to do the basics. It's that quick turn of play from midfield to attack that we're reluctant to commit to. However, when chances to come we really need to be efficient. 9 out of 10 times, we'd rue those Lacazette miss chances.
Basically, for us to get top 4, we need fatΡuntazette to shift his fat Π°rse and put those chances away

It would help but we're now a team who doesn't concede many goals
Keep that up and continue being a threat from set pieces and we will just edge games without someone on fire upfront
Having a good defense is essential for us. As Seebs pointed out we need to be very efficient upfront as we dont create many chances. That is the key.
And yes no major injuries....

Completely agree with your point. I think its far harder to get teams scoring. Its why the best teams have top attacking managers and defensive oriented ones are mid-table to occasionally fighting relegation.
However the key to that is how many players you commit to defending in your schemes. If you are defending with just your core defence and dm (Partey), which we are doing at the moment we have the potential to release players further forward. The problem for me is that Xhaka playing slightly higher isn't really doing that and is curtailing Ode as well on the right. Hence why I am still a bit circumspect on whether Arteta can see that and fix it. But even if he can, just a little, we should be able to take 4th. I still believe 3rd is possible. I really don't think Chelsea are firing this season.
