We missed 4 one on one chances. 2 by Jesus, one by Odegaard and one by Martinelli. Maybe it's time for Arteta to invest in a finishing coach.

Least if we win our remaining games we're through

Probably only need one win, but we should beat both Zagreb and Girona.

Now I've slept on it, the overall performance was actually ok from jesus. Finishing is still horrible, but he was at least linking up and dribbling well.

Yeah he was making the right runs and putting in the effort. Doesn't look like he has checked out. I would try him on the left wing against teams who park the bus like Fulham did. His link up play is far better than Trossard who is trying too hard for a new contract.

Not enjoyable

Really, the priority should be signing a top striker, even in Jan (Osimhen) if we want to win the Champions League. Then use Jesus as the left-winger or emergency 3rd choice striker, like Pep did.

We ain't signing a striker in January unfortunately

We are not signing anyone in Jan, period. Need to focus on getting the injured players fit

Osimhen cannot be signed until the summer due to his loan contract at Galatasaray

Probably, which will always put any success in a cup competition in doubt. Auba won us the FA Cup almost single-handed, and you need those type of players in knock out competition imo.

Was an odd performance last night, especially first half. Didnt feel like we were that amazing but should have been at least 3-0 up at half time.

Think Jesus confidence is just shot, never looked like scoring now matter how good the chance. Not sure what you can do about that, I'd say yeah he should be on the left if he's going to play at all.

Its been reported that he has a €80m release clause in Jan which drops to €70m in the summer. Clubs will be retisent to sell top strikers till the summer which is why I mentioned him specifically.

Gazzetta confirms that Osimhen's deal with Napoli includes a €75m clause valid for January, but any club interested in the Napoli loanee next month would need to add an extra fee to free him from Galatasaray. Corriere dello Sport reported in October that the compensation for Galatasaray is set at €6m.

anyway, no thank you. Would rather we add €30m and get Isak in the summer

If we don't get osimhen or Isak, I'd be happy with semenyo of Bournemouth or lookman from Atalanta. Just players with scary pace, shooting, dribbling and workrate

posted 2 hours, 10 minutes ago

Jesus was deployed wide a lot of his time at City and the Brazilian national team where he played there regularly. I'm surprised how little Arteta has sought to do that - doubly surprising given how poor Martinelli and Trossard have been. Deployed there more often, he could at least regain the rusty fundamentals in his game even if his finishing and instincts in the box is poor. He's looked like a zombie out there this season - where even qualities he always had like his workrate and intensity have been missing.

What do we think of Kiwior? I think he's not completely convincing as a defender, gives away some silly fouls and is a bit rushed under pressure. But some of his passes on that left foot are sublime.

If he's happy being a back up, I'm more than happy to keep him

Yeah he'll do, OK ish CB and can cover LB in an emergency.

The likes of Tomi, Tierney and Zinchenko should be first out of the door and replaced with relatively capable backups.

He's okay as a back up, remember what we had before? (Holding) and he's not slow as some think he is, but I think we paid about £5M too much for him, Italian teams seem to want him but they don't want to pay that much for him

His mentality is just so poor. Played like he was the man when he joined, now he's had a few setbacks he looks a shell of himself.

Don't get me started on his gingerbread man face every time he misses a chance
