I would prefer we sold him. But he is on too much, so better to use him where he is serviceable. Havertz actually turns up compare to our other players.

Odegaard really isn't very confident goal scoring anymore. So play him deeper and get goals from Havertz.

Olmo's stats as a right sided attacker are pretty shiiite.

Play him RB

Olmo is a very creative/link player and thats the biggest loss with Saka imo.

When Saka comes back, he makes a natural successor to Trossard.

I don't think the recruitment is solely lies with Arteta, I think the kronke's wanted to balance the books this season and this is what annoys me about them, any other top team would make sure they get the reinforcements in to at least try to get over the line this season, it's the same thing every season!

I don't think thats an issue. They spent £80m on Calfiori and Merino. And now Arteta is playing MLS and Havertz in midfield again!

I don't think you can have a plan B for Saka. But what we needed was a better wide player than Martinelli/Trossard. Then you can move players around if there is an injury to a key player.

We needed a striker last summer to stretch opposition. Osimhen would have been ideal. A cvnt whose speed as very threatening to run in behind if teams push up and has height/good in the air when teams camp in their box.

I got put off with Osimhen from the AFCON, we should've gone for Lookman.

Olmo isn't productive enough, but he's a very clever link-up player who uses the ball well. Would be a good signing.

Lol....what are you talking about? Lampard wasn't very nimble and technical on the ball, but he was a very good passer. Cross field balls to switch the play, crosses, balls over the top, through balls, set pieces - he could deliver it all. Imagine comparing him to Havertz who actually can't pass. Lampard was never a liability in midfield. Havertz was a genuine liability in midfield for us with his sloppiness and languid play and we all heaved a collective sigh of relief when Arteta moved him upfront where he was least useless.

What winds me up the more with Havertz as an attacking player is the guy actually can't shoot. He rarely strikes the ball cleanly, and scuffs his shot VERY frequently. I just don't understand what Arteta saw in this guy. Can't shoot, can't pass, can't dribble, can't create. Other than providing some workrate, tenacity and nuisance value upfront that enables him get some tap-ins, offers next to nothing. Why did we pursue so desperately? Why is he our top wage earner?

Trust our luck, lose Odegaard for what 2 months and now saka for half a season.

As for the right side, probably need a left footed attacker

Thats why I felt we need him with a proper striker.

Its too easy to isolate Odegaard at the moment. Without Saka we have no one else who can see a pass. Trossard runs with his head down and is very selfish.

Afcon is very very slow. Players have to generate their own pace against very physical defenders. Has Salah ever played for Egypt like he does for Liverpool?

Lampard was absolutly chit passing. Crossfield my arrse. Gerrard was the crossfield passer not Lampard.
